Second Leg - Yeovil Town v. Sheffield United - Monday 6th May 2013 - 1.30pm

If you look on thetrainline, there appears to be one train from Sheffield that will get you there in time for a 1:30pm kick off, considering the ground is about three miles away, and that is the 06:50 with the cheapest return priced at £123.

However, that is with a change in Bristol.

Splitting the journey, if you get the 06:01 Sheffield to Bristol Temple Meads which arrives at 09:14 and the 19:30 back from Bristol, single fares can be had for £26.50 each way.

Then in Bristol get the 09:49 Bristol to Yeovil which arrives at 11:16 then the 15:56 Yeovil to Bristol arrives which arrives at 17:29, the return is £16.

Cutting it fine if it goes to pens and you've obviously got a 2 hour stop over in Bristol on the way back but your tickets are £69.

I wonder if they'll put more than 1 burger van on for us this time?

Only recently joined this forum so firstly congratz on the fantastic work you guys do. But my first post is abit of moan. Is it only me that thinks SUFC are being short sighted with there ticketing pricing for the home leg?

Would it not be better to try and guarantee a full house and a great atmosphere that might give us the edge or do we try and make a few hundred grand with the gate receipts?? Thoughts please

Yep, I was hoping for a tenner throughout the ground. I can see this being a sub 15,000 gate.

I'm pretty sure all the gate receipts are split between the four play off teams(including Wembley) and there is a minimum pricing that has to be used.

I think the prices are cheap anyway for the home semi

Cheers for the information guys! A question though (and probably a silly one) but when are tickets on sale from for the home match... I assume Monday? I'll have to ring up and get my ticket and head back after my final ever exam :D

heres something just heard doncasters manager say ,on sky
what did you make of the last 2 minutes

"one word crazy , just crazy , thats football , you just have to expect the unexpected at times "

expect the unexpected,,,, thats football

Another dose of turgid shit today means that i'll be in The George on The Strand next friday night watching the game.
Despite the absolute dross being served up, I still feel we'll beat Yeovil over two legs.

Got a feeling if the fans turn their backs on the semi and we get a shit gate we may scrape through and if we take less than 20,000 to Wembley then this could be the time we win the play offs. It's the Blades Way

We will not score over the two legs.

The only way we can win is to bore them into submission and catch them on the break when they are
....... on a break.

I am as confident as Joey Essex winning a maths contest with Rachel Riley.

its a funny ole game though as a noted drunken lush ex goal scorer once mused

teams that cant score suddenly find their mojo, we are that random you never know

The only break we'd manage to catch teams on is the half time break, we're that slow.

Re. the tickets, I think, across the board as well, not just us, that games like this (the home leg) should be included in the season ticket. We might muster up a decent crowd then. With the majority's interest waning as badly as it is (unfortunately this seems to include a few of the players), the crowd is likely to be piss poor, as is the performance.

I can't believe anyone is complaining at the price. I Don't think they are bad at all

They aren't bad fella, but they aren't prices that will make the incredibly deflated masses decide to switch Sky off.

How bad the prices are will be revealed next friday when the attendance is in the teens rather than the twenties. Big crowds and great atmospheres seem to go hand in hand at the lane. With a massive atmosphere theirs a chance yeovil might bottle it and lets face it we need all the help we can get at minute.

Having just moved to Somerset I'm extremely happy that we've got Yeovil and I will be going down the M5 a week Monday.

Just a thought, last season after Chedwyn went down, we were absolute wank and scored once in two games to beat Stevenage. It won't take a 5-0 mauling to get to Wembley, it just takes a Kitson/porter header and another couple of clean sheets and we are there.

We have had nothing to play for really since game 44 of 46 so I am not surprised the players haven't exactly tried 200%.

Come on boys and girls chins up, 2 or 3 more games and we can't forget 12/13.

Bit of an arse if you live closer to Yeovil than Sheffield....

I may be missing something, but I cannot see an option to buy a ticket for my usual seat for the Yeovil game, using the on-line booking system. Can anyone advise?

Look in "Tickets > My Reserved Cup Tickets" :)
