I always find this comment a bit meh. 'Experienced Heads' - to do what exactly? It's a throwaway comment like you'd hear off some no mark on TalkSport.
Surely we need a squad with two players challenging for each position with the physical attributes that are fit for purpose in 2023? If some of those are experienced players, then fine, but the reason we're in this predicament is we've retained players based on nondescript notions like 'experienced Heads' as opposed to actual ability. It's 2023 not 1983. The game is getting more physical, athletic, dynamic, faster. If we're retaining players based on 'experience' then we'll be playing chequers whilst everyone else is playing chess.
