I heard a rumour this week, allegedly someone who played golf with wilder and baldock (dont know if he plays golf ) and matt fitzpatricks dad, told my best mate that if we lost to bournemouth wilder was coming in. As im not ITK about anything i dont know if its real but the source of the rumour is related to matt fitzpatrick, i have no idea if wilder plays golf with these people but i thought i should share the rumour as no one is named and it might be complete bollox, but apparantly it was wilder who mentioned it.
As a side note my last piece of any ITK info was complete bollox

You could see the style he wanted to bring in, the players he had at his disposal were not suited to this. If Hecky does go I honestly would try the route that Wednesday have gone. A youngish German Manager. Fresh ideas, organisation, fitness. The ethos of the Club needs to change. Watching Bournemouth today, fit, quick, always had options. We really, really also need to clear out the deadwood. I will mightily pissed off if Osborne, Norwood, Fleck are still at the club next season. With Wilder in charge they very well could be.

I think your numbers are wrong and we had 11 points going into the Leicester game prior to which he left and we got dicked. We finished on 23 which is a better return with half the number of games.
This season we have 5 from 13. Wilder had 1 from 13 at the same stage.

I don’t know where you’ve got your tables from but they’re wrong. We only got nine points from the last ten games, with wins against Brighton, Everton and Burnley. We had 14 points after 28 games.

" the ethos of the club needs to change" spot on imo . Foreign manager and a team full of foreign players instead of this " northern up and at em ( except yesterday) style we are labelled with.

I was fuming when Wilder left.

I wanted to hear the full reasons and the grounds for his departure but they never materialised. Just the Prince release.

However, the reason I wanted him to see it out…and whether sacked or resigned I’m still not sure….is that I felt he was our best chance of getting back up given we would have zero money to remould a new identity and they were his players back then.

Some say he won’t have used Illy….we have no evidence of that. What we know is there was some contract issue going on at the time, that wasn’t resolved until Doav was there. Maybe his old school management was upsetting the sulky character of Illy and he would t have got a tune…who knows.

However, now…with all that has happened since he left, and where we are now Wilder is not the solution. His style of play served a purpose and he did an amazing job building the nucleus of his team, but with the players we have now and the complete lack of funding and half of a clue from that dreadful owner we will see no improvement in results and little change to where we would be with Hecky.

We need to change, a change to a style of play that will be competitive in this league. Players who are quick, powerful but also have a lot of skill. It means a large number of foreign players from all over the world and a manager with the vision to implement that style and build it while we have the advantage of Premier league money.
Not that we will spend big, far from it, but we will (for us at least) have the funds to make those changes and not fall back on that owner for some money.(as we know he hasn’t got it!)

So, for once….i want us to do this right. It may well be our last chance to move the club forwards because make no bones about it, we are going down and with the current owners plan of “buying young talent” (and I’m not seeing much of that from his summer business) we may well be languishing at the wrong end next season as well.
I have zero faith that the current scouting set up has the ability to both locate or sign the numbers of players we will need when all those out of contract have gone, loans returned, injuries factored in.
