For all of you who say that we shouldn't play our kids and because they are not good enough (Danny knows better apparently) have you ever stopped to think what

Robson
Doyle
Higginbottom
Kitson
Collins

have ever done in their football career to be considered as good experience? nothing

Bravo to everyone who has sleep walked into this mess

All 5 have spent the majority of their careers in the top two divisions, achieved promotions etc and there's no doubt that every successful team tends to have at least 2 or 3 who have been there and done it.

Not saying they are worthy of a place ahead of some of the 'kids' but you can see why DW, or any other manager for that matter, would play them.

I was surprised to learn Robson is playing for Sheffield United.

Was well past it the last time I saw him and wasn't exactly held in high regard with the fans in Canada.

Can you list these promotions that they have all been involved in. Kitson (reading) but nothing lower, Doyle with Leeds when I don't think he was a regular. I don't think Pop Robson has ever enjoyed a promotion as he played for Celtic and Middlesboro for the majority of his career.

Can't think of any for Higginbottom or Collins but I will go away and do my research

So no I can't see why

Off the top of my head, Collins was in the same Leeds team as Doyle and might have been involved in Sunderland's promotions early in his career. Robson may not have experienced promotion in English football but has played in the Champions League which must count for something (you'd have thought). Not sure but Higgy might have been in either the Stoke or Sunderland promotion teams.

Should point out that they've been involved in many relegations and play-off defeats as well

Sorry Shef, I'm very critical of last night's efforts and those recently, but saying that those players have no relevant experience is churlish in the extreme.

And to lump in Collins with the underperformers is a joke. He's been one bright spot from the last couple of seasons.

Have you been going, Collins has been on a downward spiral for quite a few weeks now. This is where you need your experience to count and we have nobody who has good experience. They are all no marks in footballing terms.

Can you tell me where their experience is in relevance to where we are as a club now?

We have used six or seven players aged 30 or above the last few matches, yet we often hear that the players are nervous and inexperienced. We should face the facts that our squad remains unbalanced and patched up with many players who are here only short term and who therefore don't connect too closely to the city, fans or the football club. A few of the players live miles away, stay at Copthorne when they have to, while happily picking up very large wages for this level. They know they'll be somewhere else in a couple of months.

Every time someone mentions the lack of long term strategy and gradual building of a squad at the Lane, many posters seem to disagree, stating that we "must do it this season", etc. But as we become worse year by year, how bad will it have to get before we change our thinking?

We he has been carrying Maguire all season at home.

I reckon kitson is experienced in eating kebabs and its rubbing off with others never seen such a unfit blades team in 30 years of watching them
