I was criticised constantly for wanting Wilder in after Newcastle.
However I do think we have to give Hecky the next game. If we lose that we become the worst PL team ever at this stage.
I think it’s only fair you give him the opportunity to not have that.

Crap Saturday, England lost, blades lost. I think the board back Hecky more than people think. Which is crazy as I think with the squad he had last year in that league he couldn’t fail, we always knew we were gonna be up against it however what I will say I watched a Luton team far more organised, seemed to have more pride and ideas than us, and it shows with points tally, you can’t justify 1 point form 9 and out of cup in any walk of life. Injuries I honestly believe since PH took over our injuries have got worse, okay Basham and one of two others you can’t help they’re very unfortunate but it’s getting gamely. Blaming Shirecliffe, budget, location will only last for so long, it’s just drab at the minute we have to be better surely we can’t be this bad.

Some United fans would apparently be ok with their missus if they walked in from work and found her in bed with the window cleaner because if they booted her out, they wouldn't have their tea cooked for them for rest of the week, and the windows would be dirtier than normal next week. I believe Bettis said we would only be looking to sell 2 players. The last time we went down we were 19th after 18 games... I hope it will be a very different season haha
That being said the championship is always difficult.
However
I think our best bet is with Heckingbottom as much as every 90 minutes I watch makes me want to "try something different" but I fear this is a gamble that is much more likely to cost us a lot more in the long run. It's going to be a long disappointing season unless miracles happen (similar to when Heckingbottom got us to the playoffs from the relegation spots) and we manage to survive.
New material needed. Posted on another thread. A bit Hale and Pace now.

We were slightly better today than the Newcastle game but there were points there for the taking for me in that game. With a better manager we get something out of that game.

Historically I've always stuck up for our fans as a collective but I'm actually starting to question myself.
The comments in the toilet at half time, the idiot who stated on the way out that Wes is the main weak link, and more notably the numerous views on here and other social media tonight suggesting we should have done better, just beggars belief.
The only fans being annoyed tonight should be those entitled cunts we played who needed a full back to score a late winner from outside the box to save their multi billion pound club from drawing with a team some of their fans have labelled the worst PL team of all time.
The players available tonight for us shouldn't be on the same pitch in truth yet we matched them for 60 minutes and put a right shift in.
We did what many have (rightly) complained about not doing recently, competed.
If you really believe we under-achieved tonight and should have done better with what we have available, then just maybe you should have been in the BL Lower.

Can’t agree Tommo, thought we actually had the fight tonight. Didn’t think we did against West Ham and Fulham but tonight I thought we gave a good account of ourselves.
