But can really good footballers only ever play in one way (and it must also be easy for them?)It depends whether they want him playing a brand of football completely different to what they play or not, you stick him in our team at the moment and it will teach him things about the PL and how to struggle at the bottom, City might not want that.
It's all supposition on my part though. I imagine they'd rather him play similarly to how they play to develop him in their mould of a footballer, if this is the case then the top of the Championship is probably the best place for him, unless a decent European side are interested.
With the difference that City spend less for FFP. £5m my harris
Looks like we are going to end up with egg on our face for holding out for McAtee and thinking Doyle would be the back up option. With the way Chelsea spend money, we'll end up not getting either
Doyle is a Loan with an 5m option and sell on according to sky, what a bargain
50% sell on clause though. Can't recall ever seeing a sell on clause that high before. If the £5m figure is correct then that is an absolute snip.
I wonder if it's cheaper as a sweetener for Nunes?
Surely Doyle hasn't been available for £5m all summer and we haven't taken it.
He’s not part of the swap, it’s just been confirmed, it’s a completely separate deal.Your comment is misleading though because Doyle hasn’t been sold for 5 million…..he’s part of a swap.
If the difference between the 2 is £42 million…then there’s loads of options.
Man City could pay 100 million for the Wolves player as long as they agree to pay 56 million for Doyle
or what about buying paying 70 million for the Wolves player and then Wolves must pay 28 million for Doyle
or what about 47 million for the Wolves player and then the Doyle signing can be declared as 5 milliom.
The difference to the clubs is exactly the same.
I suppose it might lower tax if the values are set lower than market value.
Oh yeah, it’s definitely not related. At all. He’s not part of the swap, it’s just been confirmed, it’s a completely separate deal.
Is it just me who’s no longer arsed about Doyle or McAtee? We don’t need Doyle and McAtee I fear would get swallowed up in the Prem.
Need some creativity that comes with battling qualities like Ndiaye and MGW. Yes I know we won’t get as good but McAtee isn’t that.
Feels like this is the sting in the tail re Mcatee
Can see this still happening and scuppering our chances of getting any attacker / creator in on loan.
He’s not part of the swap, it’s just been confirmed, it’s a completely separate deal.
Doesn’t matter if they tie it directly or not, the terms of Doyle going would have been part of the negotiation for the other lad, whether it is set as a swap or two separate deals. He’s not part of the swap, it’s just been confirmed, it’s a completely separate deal.
Shouldn’t have all our eggs in one basket

You need a bigger net than 5 players, especially when a couple of them are very optimistic targetsI mean we haven’t have we
Pelistri
Carney C
Palmer
Diallo
Mcatee - ? /
It’s not looking like we’re going to get anyone of sufficient quality to fill the gaps left by mcatee or Ndaiye.
It’s a massively worry atm.
We’ll seeWe haven’t got all our eggs in one basket.
Bettis and Hecky aren‘t stupid, Theres option A, option B and option C and even option D.
We’re bringing in a loan or 2, no matter what.
We will only end up with egg on our face if we have no other options ready to go.
