Its unlikely that we can afford to buy anyone else, so it's going to be a player on loan.
Who should it be?

2 uk, 5 international i believe

My understanding is 2 from current PL teams and possibly 3 from elsewhere but not 100% on that.

  • Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
  • The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
  • Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
  • A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.

I'm pretty sure one qill be a City player either Palmer, McAtee or Doyle in that order of preference

Also the Man U lad we've been linked with looks a good option

And if we really push the boat out Origi

The top bit of that is missing though:

Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2022/23 (Download PDF, size: 16MB), there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.

Premier League Loan Rules [IN-SUMMARY]

In this section we’ll enumerate the most important loan rules applied in the Premier League.
  • A club can only have two players on loan from other domestic clubs registered at the same time.
  • During the season, a club can only register a total of four players on loan from other domestic sides.
  • A club cannot loan more than one player from the same club during the same season.
  • A club cannot loan out a player who was bought in the same transfer window.
  • A club cannot loan out more than one goalkeeper to other EPL clubs.
  • These quotas are only applicable on loans conducted between domestic clubs (professional clubs based in England and Wales).

Just seen that Man City are considering an offer for Eze who I thought was terrific at ths Lane.
Does this increase our chance of getting McAtee and or Doyle?

According to some We'll have to qualify for the champions league for 4 consecutive seasons to just afford who we've got so far, forget about anyone else coming in.

McAtee
Pellistri
a GK
a LWB
You can cross those last two off.

We have a budget.

We're already having to creatively go into next year's. We're not adding a second loan left back and a new first choice keeper unless someone comes in and takes current players from us.

In addition the squad will already be full.

If we were to sign Archer, McAtee and Pellestri then attacking wise I’m pretty content with Hamer, Traore, McBurnie and maybe Brewster I’d even let Osula and Jebbison go out on loan if they agree to contracts if they don’t then I wouldn’t..

Defensively we are an injury away from catastrophe tbh. This includes Wes who I don’t think is up to the standard we need but at the same time “will do”

Dean Henderson (ridiculously unlikely - my own dream hope)
Doyle (possible)
Man Utd lad (probable)
Holgate (doubt Everton would want to strengthen us)

I hear that the once manager of wolves now boss of the Saudi champions Al-Ittihad or summat or other, doesn't want Benzema and wouldn't let him be captain of the team. As no one could afford his wages perhaps Prince Abdullah could have a word with the Saudis and take him out of the nightmare he's got his sen into initially for the full English season, giving them time to sack their manager for not winning the league again, I'm sure our captain John Egan would let him have the armband and Prince A. could house him int hotel. Benzema could then show the Saudis what they've bin missing by rattling in 59 goals for the blades and keeping us in the promised land. We could then get a younger Striker next season and Benzema could go back to the Al-Ittihad club, get the captain armband and piss on their spicey chips. UTB

I would still like to see a striker come in so I’m going to say one from abroad and McAtee

I also think we will get that McNair bloke from Boro for coverage at back

i wouldnt rule the move for origi out even though weve got archer especially if a club comes in for jebbo
