Getting so tedious this window now. United low balling every cunt. Rifle and Rocket lapping up as much attention as possible and half the forum begging for updates. Honestly I’d rather the window close now and go with what we’ve got than this circus carry on.

We’ve signed 7 players, so the low ball tactics must be working

Foxy is busy cleaning vomit out of car seats. Cleaning unwanted eruptions from your children is a useful analogy for dealing with some of the ridiculousness on here
We can’t even have threads for rumours on certain players without it being infected by fucking dickheads spouting bollocks. I blame the Tories for the lack of ball pools and sandpits for them to play in.

I am as frustrated as anyone at the lack of attacking signings, but that shouldn't detract from the signings we have made.

Hamer, Davies and Trusty in particular are signings that I am sure most of us would have been happy to come in, regardless of what else was going on. Souza, Slimane, Traore and Larouci might each be more of a gamble, but I am struggling to think of many occasions where we have got signings wrong since Hecky came in.

If we'd made these signings and kept Ndiaye and Berge we'd be giving ourselves half a chance.

As it is, we've sold our best players or lost them following loan termination and I don't think we've adequately replaced them and improved.

We'll get NIL'd nigh on every week with this squad.

You dont think Hamer is an upgrade on Sander 'the ghost' Berge?

I wouldn't be in my right mind if I disagreed with you about Ndiaye, but genuinely I think Berge was very replaceable this season regardless, and I would have swapped him for Hamer in a hearbeat. If anything, it's McAtee that we need replace ahead of him (Berge that is).

Right ok I know this is taking this thread in yet another direction but I’m properly struggling with this.

Hear me out

A football club with money and history and plans and huge budgets and whatever is negotiating with an other club who has very similar criteria.

Ok, right

Whilst these high flying multi million pound negotiations are on going between people in suits who drink Harrogate water from small glass bottles. Well one of those people present goes hang on let me update Nixon.

Gets out their phone and pings Alan Fucking Nixon a WhatsApp to update him on progress so he’s there with beans on his shirt relaying this info to his PAYING subscribers and Twitter following.

The man is earning an actual living for passing on info and nothing more which in essence makes him a grass I think but lets not get into the specifics of that right now.

Him and that Romano berk have friends in high places who feed them info so they can earn a living telling people that some cunt has signed for some other cunts for more money then they should have.

That alone is mental but my big question is why? Why is let’s say the Bettis of Villa feeding info? What do they get from it? Does it help build pressure from the buying clubs fan base? I’m genuinely baffled by how these seemingly professional transfer nobheads operate and why it’s a thing.

Agents leak a lot.

Be lucky. Then again, I'm pushing on 5 years of purile bollocks yet here I am.
Dad, dad tell him dad. Some reyt wasters here. Honest if you take an Internet forum that serious you should get out more, or set your own site up, so you can bore everyone to death that either disagrees with you or says something that you don't like. What a laugh that would be. www.boringpompoustitcakes.co.uk

But Morgs, and I say this with as little rancour as possible, no matter what we did or do this window, you would find fault and have a face like you received an unexpected dry pegging that morning.

I don’t think that’s a real website

For me, our strongest side last season was with Berge and Doyle in the middle, and Ndiaye and McAtee between them and the striker. None of them are with us now. So far, we've replaced Berge with Hamer (a massive upgrade in my opinion), and we've effectively replaced Doyle with one of Souza, Davies or Norwood back in. Are those better than Doyle? Too early to say.

As for replaceing Ndiaye and McAtee, we've signed Slimane and Traore, but these were never meant to replace Ndiaye or McAtee but to be backups/ones to blood in over the season. Archer may be a replacement for Ndiaye's position (tho not the man himself) if we pull it off to play behind McBurnie (who I rate very highly, despite what some here think). If we can't get Archer, we need someone similar. Then we've not even started to think about replacing McAtee yet - hopefully the replacement for McAtee is McAtee on deadline day, but a big gamble waiting until then.

I think we've made some very good signings so far, but we're not currently stronger than, or even equal to, last season's squad without replacing Ndiaye and McAtee (unless because we're in the Prem we don't want to attack teams like we did last season and are happier to defend with 3 in the midfield?)
