If they can get a substantial enough loan fee and/or percentage of wages then it might make more sense for them to plan again. They're not exactly short of cash. Then again idk what Doyle's contract situation is with City

Only issue is that someone like Leeds may go in for Doyle and given we're spending plenty elsewhere (not least after buying Vini and Slimane already), he may end up there.

If we end up with Doyle, Archer and Akpom after Hamer, this will have been an excellent window.

Akpom permanently Archer loan and we will have a real chance.

Never seen Doyle as having a future at City but totally see him as our player.

McAtee is that bit younger but also a bit more of their type imho.

Fans aren't always the best indication but last summer summed it up for me. Didn't see a single disappointed comment from a City fan about Doyle coming to us but was surprised how many were disappointed that McAtee wasn't part of their 25.

Doyle could be part of the next generation of Blades legends. Enda, Fleck, Billy, Bash and JoC have had their time. Is this the start of the Doyle, Hamer, McBurnie, Anel, Archer, Trusty era?
I’d love to add Mcatee but he’s going to be far too good for where we’re going to be.

City haven’t finished their business yet, in fact they’ve barely even started it.

i think doyle is on his way back to the lane loan with a view to buy for something like 15m next summer is my guess and fancy our other prem loan has to be archer and also still think obrien will come in late in the window once forest realise they aint getting owt like 10m for him

Pretty sure bothe Doyle and Mcatee said they don't envision themselves playing Championship football anymore in their careers.

Not saying they won't, but at this stage doubt they will accept a championship move.

Yes to Doyle, Archer I don't think will happen and I feel we've moved on from O'Brien.
