We had a much better team.
C Robinson was poor, the rest transpired to be decent PL players.

Henderson, O'Connell, Basham (I think people forget how good he actually was, Anel has a lot to do yet), Stevens, Fleck, Norwood on top their games, McGoldrick. Anel for Basham I can take or leave, Baldock I think is actually a better player now. Egan similar. Norwood and Fleck nowhere near what they were then.

No me neither, I think this Baldock and Egan are better than those versions but I could be misremembering. Anel is arguable but not for me Basham was so so good.

None of us know if Souza or Slimane are better options than Lundstram yet, so you'd have to say Lunny is in there.

Maybe current Baldock is better than 2019 Baldock, if we're really pushing.
Anel and a 2019 Bash is a close call.

I think it shows we need at least 2 more CMs and ideally 2 more CFs.

Issue is we are judging the last team to be prompted with hindsight. We can't judge this team yet until a few games in at least. Today's team there isn't much difference player for player however it will take some going to be a better TEAM. Hopefully the 4 signings bridge that gap. If we land just a couple of them though we will be better player for player than the last promoted team.

If I was a player or on the management team it would give me all the motivation I need to shut the monotonous morons up. We are not done yet, we haven't kicked a ball and we haven't finalised our squad. Under Hecky I expect us to battle like fuck and maybe, just maybe once all recruitment is done we scrape 17th and piss on Alex Crook's chips. Crook/Crookes there is a pattern developing here.

McGoldrick was quality at linking the play though.

I think Anel would get in over Basham and you'd probably play McBurnie over C Robinson with McGoldrick playing off him.

Having watched that talksport video I got the impression he didn't know much about us, compared to Danny Murphy who did predict us to go down but was a bit more respectful about it.
