CONFIRMED Gustavo Hamer signs from Coventry City

Would be an amazing signing for you. From his debut 3 years ago, it was clear he is Premier League quality and has only got better. Because of Gyökeres, he's gone under the radar but most Coventry fans recognise he has been the more important player.

We lost the play off final because he went off and we lost against Leicester because he went off.

He won't be cheap. £15m will be the absolute minimum. Our new owner is very stubborn and did a great job of selling Gyökeres for £20m plus a 35% sell on fee, despite being in his final year of contract. Anything less than £10m and we'll risk him leaving on free to keep him for another year.

Since last night when I went to bed then woke up this morning to a message? We are in the midst of fast moving reactionary signings from a long list of options. Not that this will be a fast signing as we now how complicated we make things on top of how complicated signings generally are. He's right at the top of our list but I'm sure we won't pay North of 12m. If anything we will dilly dally until the player pushes for us at below 10m knowing us. Bettis.

Wouldn't read to much into Hamer not playing tonight, he won't, might might be on the bench. Just back from injury and was taken off on Sunday due to tightness in his calf's , just precautionary.
If you get gus for £15m you've had our pants down. He's the best midfielder outside the prem and better than most in there too. 11goals 13 assists last season. If no one gets him during this window the thought round here is he will sign a pre contract with his first (and home club) fyenoord in January. Apparently his Mrs is very keen on returning to Holland.
