O’Rourke on sky is usually quite reliable, but being realistic there are prob 2/3 championship clubs that can offer more money and bigger wages, that’s the shit state we’re in.

I wish Darren would piss off. At this stage, he's probably causing more harm than good, if the fans are excited about a few potential incomings they'll be on the side of his pal again. By ruling everyone out it's not doing him any favours, even if some of the rumours are a load of rubbish.

This, after all the bollocks we’ve endured this summer, would be a brilliant signing. Not just a bit of a statement of intent getting a player whose name is being chucked around a fair bit, but someone who is probably well up for the challenge or establishing himself as a premier league quality player, or at worse, we’ll have one of the absolute best midfielders in the championship if we go back down with him. Gerrim in!

While you're obviously putting this up as a bit of a joke, I do wonder why it takes so long. Surely all bids have a similar structure, it should just be find/replace name, offer amount, sell on terms, add-ons, offer expiry date, etc..
 
I know it’s such a negative way of thinking, but if we get relegated and IF we could keep a core of Anel, Egan, Trusty, Baldock, Souza, Slimane and potentially Hamer that’s one strong side for the championship.

I’m sure someone mentioned that we still do a lot of not all the admin stuff internally, rather than outsourcing like the majority of clubs do. Probably down to HR at our disposal.

Technically he didn't outright deny anything, he just said don't get your hopes up. Cryptic I know but not outright denying anything, maybe he knew this guy might be a target but didn't know if we'd go for him or not

I reckon Darren is just a puppet for the club. Prince gives him the information he wants in the public domain, which might be true or made up bollocks. I even think Hecky is on board, his comments about not liking it just adds credibility to Darren’s tweets.

Clubs have been using the media for decades, social media is just the new way it’s done.

Didn't PA say he doesn't use the local press because they don't interpret things fully? He uses DS & SUW etc because they put out exactly what he says (tells them)

It’s must be easier for the Prince to manipulate the likes of Darren than a traditional media, which probably makes life easier for the Prince.

Since last night when I went to bed then woke up this morning to a message? 😆 We are in the midst of fast moving reactionary signings from a long list of options. Not that this will be a fast signing as we now how complicated we make things on top of how complicated signings generally are. He's right at the top of our list but I'm sure we won't pay North of 12m. If anything we will dilly dally until the player pushes for us at below 10m knowing us. Bettis.

This would be an excellent signing, but the sceptic in me thinks it’s just smoke and mirrors to get the fans back on side. Hope I’m wrong!

Would be pretty amazing having two Brazilians in midfield though!
