Rodley a new ITK'er has entered the arena!
No not at all.
I sent the news that Rocket put on here yesterday to a friend of a friend, he reported back (he's not really up on football) and said his mate said it's made up and that Ndiaye won't sign.

How trustworthy can a friend of a friend's mate who doesn't like football be though?

It's not all bad.
OM have bought 3 strikers already and seem to be priced out of a deal as well.
I think he'll stay now, I just can't understand why he'd sign an extension or new contract with us.
But, that's based on nothing.

If he signs a new contract he moves from the estimated £4k/week to potentially 10x that. A sensible release clause could swing it?

Forgetting OM, there’s also potentially Everton and Newcastle waiting in the wings as well. Although if real interest is shown he’s more likely to go to the Maggies where there’s more of chance of playing European cup games I suppose?

Both go to the games, just one is a hell of a lot more clued up with us than the other.
Look, I want him to be wrong (I actually think he listens a little too much to El Accounto) but he is really on the ball with these things, that's why I sent him the Rocket posts in the first place.
He's probably on here actually, I've never checked.

I can’t see where Rocket Man has said he’s signed? I can see where he’s said he’s signing.

As for the later post 🚀🚀🚀 emoji’s they could mean owt

Still, I have all fingers and toes firmly crossed 🤞
It’s attention seeking, that’s all it means. A sign of all supposed itk’s who know nowt is vague cryptic messages. I’ll never know what they get out of it but they must have sad empty lives.

Wouldn't he sign it for a (presumably) mega pay rise?

You would have thought that a factor in this would be that IN hasn't earned much at all in football terms so far.

Whilst the chance of a large signing on fee next summer will obviously appeal, if he gets injured this season he's left in a pickle.

3 years on very good money even though he'll be aiming higher for the remainder of his career, should play a big part in his thinking with no big contracts behind him.

He could be happy to be on good by man on the street wages and get his share of a transfer fee in his own pocket next summer

There is a big risk associated with that approach, players like Kane, Mbappe or even Berge can play the last year of there contract suffer a career ending injury and still be in a fantastic financial position.

If Ndiaye gets injured this season he could end up with a 40 year career in a “normal” job. If he signs for 3 years on £50k a week, that’s a £7.8m guaranteed contract. He’ll be set up for life now and still have the possibility to progress his career to the very top.

Yes it's a gamble but the odds are probably in his favour tbh!

I agree, career ending injuries do seem to be less likely these days, but they still happen. Just ask Jack O’Connell!

In his current position, it just seems really stupid to take the risk.

Plus we have the shirecliffe sniper doing the rounds again.

Probably if he breaks his leg first game and is finished he picks up 7.5m quid over 3 years if he signs that's why he signs

And it’s only a 50/50 outcome with soon, nearly, 🚀🚀🚀 etc. we can all do that and hope the coin lands ont right side.

To keep it dog related, this thread needs putting to sleep.
