I read somewhere on Nicko's feed Palace eyeing up Ndiaye.

What is it with these shit teams near the bottom?

Why in God's name would we or the player consider him going to Forest, Everton or Palace?

Palace are now, minus Zaha, a legitimate target to finish beneath us.

Everton. Basket case of a club, skirting FFP. He wasn't interested in you when we were a division lower. He's hardly going to jump your way now we're on par. Another we should be looking to put in our rear view mirror.

Forest. Apart from their fans laying out our Captain (even weirder when he used to play for them!) they also have their FFP problems and are another basket case of a club who we should be looking to skip over.

As irritating as the OM stalking has got, it does at least feel they have something to entice him. The other three; just completely deluded.

We should start saying we are interested in Olise or MGW or whoever Everton has got who is any good! Anyone?
Just an easy piece of gossip. Palace badly need attackers. Here's one to mention as a "possible" transfer.

Forest = wages and they have a better chance of avoiding relegation

Palace = wages and they have a better chance of avoiding relegation

They offered Zaha 200k to be fair, that's also something that the others can offer.
I'm not saying it's a reason that would tempt Ndiaye, but they've all got money behind them.

It doesn't change anything. They are all in danger of relegation. They would each have to pay around 20m. As such there's no chance they'll put a generous relegation release clause in there for him.

His better options are to stay here with an increased very good wage and a likely very good release clause. Or wait until July 24 and get a massive signing on fee. Or push for a move to OM.

There's so little upside to Forest, Everton or Palace vs the other options. He really does hold all the cards.

Palace will see N'Diaye as a replacement for Olise if he goes to Chelsea.
If Eze is injured (as reported) then they will be weak without Zaha, Olise and Eze at the start of the season. I don't think Iliman would want to go near that at the moment.

Think a lot of the time these rumours are just started through laziness, at least from journalists. The assumption goes that the teams generally expected to be competing around the bottom half of the table aren't going to be buying players from the top half teams (unless they're mopping up academy cast offs) and the journalists sure as hell can't be bothered to trawl through international leagues to find likely targets so they just take out a dartboard and start picking random names. Same where the best players from the championship that missed on promotion all automatically become linked with every single bottom half prem club.

I suppose there are the times where there are legitimate attempts by prem teams to weaken relegation rivals.

With all the focus on Ndiaye in the Portugal vids, and now having him on the 3rd kit launch, if he does now leave this could very well be the biggest PR fuck up in the club's history. Surely they wouldn't be so stupid as to have him front and centre like this, if there was even a whiff of him leaving?

All 3 of those clubs could put him on double the wages he would be on here.

What happens if ndiaye stays at United (signing a new contract or not) but has a bad season next season or worse has a bad injury.

Like it or not at this moment in time, forest, palace, Everton and OM are all a step up from United and Ndiaye would be stupid not to consider offers from them.

For what it’s worth I think from that list there’s only palace (replace Zaha/Olise) who could sign him this summer. Forest are signing Elanga, Everton and OM couldn’t pay the fee.

Maybe they felt it better to have him 'front & centre' in an attempt to hold back the "Illy on the way out" chatter for a while.
And why would it be a PR fuck-up to highlight your best player in team video.
We don't actually want him to leave!

Simple question - why?

100% on your last sentence. I just think they would play his role down a bit, if they thought he was leaving, but can see your points.

S24SU would break with "well that's Illi off then" if they didn't put him in the vid, so not sure how you expect the club to win?

Wages
Forest = richer owner, 3 years of parachute payments guaranteed, generate more income

Everton = richer owner, 3 years of parachute payments guaranteed, generate more income, currently have financial problems but their wage bill will still be 3x ours

Palace = 3 years of parachute payments guaranteed, generate more income, cleared zaha off of the wage bill and look like they may be selling Olise.

I think they have a better chance of avoiding relegation because on average their players are better than ours. I think Everton and forest will be down there and have a decent chance of being relegated but I think the same can be said for us.

It wasn't a criticism, merely pointing out that (imo) it's encouraging to see him so prominent with all the speculation.

I don't think the club doing the obvious "put your best player in your promotional material" thing can be read one way or another to be honest

Probably just know they are boosting their social media hits for free!

Doubt it, Sander has only been back with the team since the 13th July.

It's probably a reason none of the international lads were in the home kit launch.
Isn’t Oli Arblaster in the photos and he left ages ago and didn’t go to Portugal ?

Second time I've been pulled up on this - fair point but he only left 7 days ago. I reckon it was filmed some time around the 14th/15th? But could have been any time before the international lads left for their duties I guess.

They could put him on double the wages he would be on here, but they won't. No one will pay him that level of wage yet.

Ili does not strike me as the type of player to be worried about an injury. He's much more likely to think he'll be in a very strong position in July next year (whether he's signed with us or not.)

I agree that Palace are best placed, but how attractive they are without two of their best players is questionable.

Adams and Calvert-Lewin both left the following month:
