Some serious happy clappers about making out players they have never heard of and cost peanuts ( in prem terms ) are the next world beaters

Clap clap clap we’ve signed a French player who was relegated and the fans of that team barely even rated him

I’m sure he is half decent but we are deluding ourselves if we think spending a pittance on players who have no prem experience or haven’t been stand out players in there said league will keep us up

The crux of the matter is the transfer budget much like wilder supposedly spend billions (he didn’t) he was hamstrung by wages otherwise we may have signed Watkins/Eze

Paul is even more handicapped as he now has barely any budget and even less wages to spend

I want to be excited for the new season but I won’t delude my self in that spending £20 mill on 5/6 players who the majority of people have never heard off will keep us up (it won’t)

And we have lost two of our better performers in Doyle and macatee

Plus we aren’t even signing these players we will only sign them if we stay up

Call me a troll but I’m saying it how it is

But that wasn't the question? Just because you'd prefer something different doesn't make it so, because if that was the case I'd prefer you stop posting but you're still fucking here

I don’t think you can stay up from our position in only spending £20 mill and fishing in the pond we are in

Unless every single signing we make is massive hit

But realistically that isn’t going to happen more signings do ok than become top players like Anel or signings like Brighton make or a Brentford

Brighton and Brentford also waste a lot of money

How many other teams are also working with limited funds?
You act like we're the only team in the prem operating on a tight budget.
I know you like to claim you have scouting badges to back up being a wind up but honestly the act is wearing thin now

We are not a Harrods club.

Yeh, would be pretty silly to be suggesting signing relegated players wouldn't it?

and where would the money come from to buy proven oven ready premier league players then Genius?

The £170 million we earned about 6 weeks ago 👍

But but but Darren the accountant who hangs out the back of the Poundland prince says we just simply can’t afford it

Fact is we can’t afford it because the his best mate prince has leveraged the clubs finances for him to use those funds to pay for the agreed cost of the club to McCabe

And now he wants to sell he won’t spend the ammount required because that would add costs to the balance sheet for a perspective owner

In the premier league probably us and Luton then the rest of the league miles ahead of us

It will be a miracle if either of us stay up IMO if this strategy doesn’t change

How much did Bournemouth spend last year? They are the equivalent team to us ?

I was somewhat terse in my response to you last night, but a night's sleep hasn't changed my overall opinion of what you have written.

You do realise that there are over 6 weeks of the transfer window left, don't you?

I do but all the signs coming out of the club is that we will be paying minimal fees on players as per the first two signings and Traore on the way (not signings loans)

Plus 2 prem loans

These players are gonna massively out perform what they have done to keep us up

Which is an unfair expectation on these players

Bournemouth didn't spend in the first half of the season and then spent in Jan when their takeover was approved

We're operating in a similar budget to Everton, Luton, Wolves, and probably others - and I know who's scouting team I'd rather have, and it's the one that brought in a brilliant Bosnian.

Think you might be on the wrong forum mate

Maybe stop asking fucking questions 🤷‍♂️

The same scouts that wasted all that money when we went up 🤣 even though it wasn’t wasted as the majority of our players brought us back up who were signed
[United fans] - why don't we ever scout the European Market? There's some right bargains out there. Instead we spend inflated transfer fees on British Championship players.

[Also United fans] - who are all these cheap random players we've never heard of? Might aswell relegate us now. Pathetic.

The ignore button is really getting a vigorous work out this off season. There's been some next level bollocks wrote on here lately!

That’s not what I’m saying

I’m sure they are decent players but to expect to sign players on loan for minimal prem fees to be enough to keep us up is seriously deluded IMO

It doesn’t matter where you sign the players from they can flop

There’s bargains in Britain aswell I would say Chong who Luton have signed for 3/4 million is a player we should have been looking at

My main gripe is the pathetic budget that the Poundland prince has given us

Bollocks how ?

I would say it’s bollocks to say spending minimal fees on players from leagues/teams nowhere near the level we need to be next year and to expect us to stay up is bollocks

Similar budget to Everton & Wolves 🤣

Throughout last season you were questioning Hecky's lineups, formations and tactics. You were even calling for a change in manager.

This was a season where we were in the automatic spots for 95% of it and finished on 91points

TROLL !

We are signing exciting young players, with the potential to grow and who will be chomping at the bit to test themselves at the highest level. Granted there is some future proofing in there in case we do go straight back down.

It's sensible in our current financial situation and I am entirely comfortable with it.

Plus, as already said, there is a long way to go.

Top teams try not to gamble, they buy proven talent for a premium price right?
We are buying unproven talent that we hope will make the cut, always a gamble, but does buying expensive proven as above work?*

For us this season we need a blend of old heads, EPL experience and some raw talent and pace

Already at BDTBL we have

Fodders - 32yr old, won SPL, played Old Firm games
Egan - 30yrs, 67 EPL appearances, 34 Int appearances
Baldock - 30yrs, 70 EPL, 9 Int
Norwood - 32yrs, 70 EPL, 57 Int
Bash - 35yrs, 90 EPL
Berge - 25yrs, 29 EPL, 36 Int
McB - 27yrs, 75 EPL

That the spine of a team that we can pepper with youth and pace

Illy - Traore - Slimani - Larouchi - Doyle? - AN other loan

Keep the faith

Throwing the coin around isnt always the answer
  • Sancho - £88m
  • Phillips - £40m
  • Mudryk - £88m
  • Richarlison - £50m

A well reasoned response, with evidence and explanation - now watch as the Eejit completely ignores it

Did you watch the football last season ? It was bang average at times but got results

He didn’t play Doyle & macatee for large parts of the first half of the season last year

My opinion on hecky hasn’t changed he’s done a decent job with a squad that should have got promoted (last year)

I hope he makes me eat my words and we do well this year

because those signings are relateable to us 🤣

I think we should be spending 40/50 mill on 5/6 top players we aren’t doing that

We are spending absoloute pittance and not even signing them permanently

I hope so stretch and we do buy more quality

Diallo would be a top signing

However once again absoloutely no future planning all loans

They are relatable to be fair - they're proof that spending lots on players doesn't guarantee success - whereas we've proven that a few, cheap signings (Anel, Ndiaye, JOC ect) works

Also I love that 20mil is pittance considering I remember seasons where we would have been crying out for half of that

Ahhh so the chairman is running the club like a business got ya
Remind me again what’s happened since prince has taken over
2 promotions to premier league
1 promotion from Turd division
As champions
2 FA cup semi finals
Putting our club on a sound financial footing
Do I wish as do most Blades he’d spend more who doesn’t , but see that’s his / our problem
He spends we go down , our debt’s spiral out of control and you end up like them ( your ) silly fuckers up the road who don’t even own their own ground
He doesn’t spend we go down , we have a stable and financially well run club , with saleable assets , a ground an infrastructure and youth system with more saleable assets coming through
If only there where clubs out their we could hope to emulate
Maybe Brentford , the one Big Con Chan had no ambition, and because of there stay in the premier league are close to being half a billion pounds better off
How’s them 10 year season tickets going

And if it gets results again this season, what's the problem?

There won’t be one with me

My point was last year those performances weren’t those of a team capable of doing well in the Prem

There Is a direct correlation between the ammount you spend and the quality of players signed , not always but there is

The more you spend the better the player is

That’s a Fallowfield Fact

Ampadu has been proven in a top 5 league and has been proven at international level

Hence his value and the players we are agreed value

These players have not , of course that doesn’t mean they won’t be but they aren’t proven
Ampadu had his chance he blew it
