Interesting stuff. See the graph down at the bottom of the page. Our points per game puts us as the 4th best team in England.

I really hope we are not going to see another 1997. I seem to remember 1996 was a brilliant year for us. 1995 we were fucking shit and Basset went. Kendall came in December and overnight changed things. He saved us from relegation and had a very good halof of a season. The first half of 1996-1997 we were excellent, but we dipped in the 2nd half. I seem to remember a Green Un article in January 1997 showing the 46 games Kendall had been in charge and that would have given us promotion. Anyone remember that? Of course we fooked it after. Kendall was (alledgely) drinking again and our form went downhill.

If anything Blackwell's initial spell is probably closer to Kendall's. Well let's hope so. A good year for the Blades, but it means nowt. Let's hope Danny can keep up the good work and get us out of this shite league.

89 points in a calendar year oh woe is me
McCasbe knockers will say its inadequate, only being 2nd best in league clubs
should be first by 20 points , not that thats being a bit massive complex like

If not I'd recommend he gets some

It's a no-shit-Sherlock graph as far as I'm concerned: the only surprise is just how good Swindon have been. Every other side in that top 10 is in the same division this season as last and I'd imagine that most have retained their relative strength (ie you'd argue that while we've undoubtedly got a weaker side this season, the division is also weaker).

Swindon on the other hand have carried on this season as they ended the last and are good bets to be a Championship side come August.

Top scorers and fewest games lost in the calendar year as well.
Even when we are doing well we underachieve FFS!

I tipped Swindon at the beginning of the season (in comple disagreement with moDtheGod) and now they are coming good. Looking at the table, their games in hand, teir consistency over the last 12 months, easy step up to this league, recent performances and goal difference then they are a hot tip to go up. Bookies have seen it though and their odds are short.
