Remember hearing once that when he was playing for Liverpool and broke his leg the opposing fans started singing "Johnny can't walk, Johnny can't walk, hello, hello..."No, I think he drove there.
Boom-tish!
Unfortunately I heard Hinchcliffe commentating on a Premier League match over the weekendNot just him though is it? Hinchcliffe is an equivalent skid-mark of a human being when it comes to football punditry and Sheffield United. Neither have a decent comment on United and any referee's decision, contentious or not, is given the opposite way to the red and whites. How the producers can't see this is beyond me.
So glad they won't have the chance to do this now and are resorting to the odd pig game next year as they continue to founder in the wilderness
I think he did a few of ours during lockdownUnfortunately I heard Hinchcliffe commentating on a Premier League match over the weekend![]()

Definitely did the Leeds v liverpool game a couple of Mondays backHe’s been commentating on premier league matches for at least three full seasons
Yep, when WBA didn’t get a penalty, he complained about the injustice and how lucky we were. When we didn’t get a corner or free kick on those occasions he said “well if the ref didn’t see it, he can’t give it - I don’t know what they’re complaining about”. He does it every single time he commentates on us.Watched back the West Brom game though and he's really shockingly bad. Said there's was a definite penalty (it was) and banged on about it for ages, then dismissed our two claims, even when for the McBurnie push the lead commentator said it was an obvious shove.
They were very similar incidents, but completely different reactions from the co-commentator on each. Also when their player did a naughty tackle and follow through with studs, he said he was playing the ball and it was unavoidable, whereas when Norwood did the same against Burnley he wanted him lynched.
AgreeWait for next season when Neville comments on Man U match and Carragher comments (spits) on Liverpool match. I hate the way Sky uses such bias commentators.
Is it only me that thinks some of this dislike and obsession with him is a little OTT?
When he got palmed in the face in the same incident, clear as day on the slow mo replay but it was completely ignored by the commentary team.Goodman and Rowatt, Jesus they hate us with a passion.
Some of the biased bile they were spouting was unbelievable.
The incident where Anel was being dragged and span around on the goal line, they both said 'its time referees started sending off defenders who hold and pull the shirts of the attacking players.
WTF?!?!!?
But other than that, he's not too bad? He's a miserable little shitehouse that looks like he smells of cheap aftershave, cafe crème cigars and fish paste. If he hadn't been a footballer, he'd be the shifty little scroat in the pub who everyone called "Wrong'un" and who tried to sell knock off nicked stuff and dodgy porn DVD's out of his boot. And he'd try and hang round wi' lads in their late teens/early twenties despite being in his mid 50's. The cunt.
35 mins 30 seconds in below linkFor me he'll always be the twat who headed the ball over our keeper and it bounced and went over the bar. I was there that day, behind the goal on the kop, giving him the 'ahhhhhhh' and wanker signs when it happened![]()
