Not being negative but I now think Boro will take 2nd now šŸ˜”

The players were clearly disappointed after Satday if you watch the tunnel video I think we will wup their ass tomorrow night especially with Doyle and McAtee back I pity West Brum as they are going to be the fall guys.

Tomorrow we get promoted and Saturday 3pm will be the party
Berge has shown us he does still know how to play football. So no more bloody shirking tomorrow!

I was wrong about Boro so hopefully I am wrong about this next statement..……

….. I have this niggling feeling we will have to go to Colin’s Huddersfield still needing something

Hope we win the Eddie Colquhoun derby, but got a niggling feeling mesen that we'll bottle it because we're Sheffield United and nowt goes reyt for us.

Or Vlad will declare nuclear war before tomorrow.

Pick your poison.

Is this porktalk,, the arrogance is palpable. We're not there yet FFS.

Middlesbrough have bottled it regardless. So we can mock as, according to them, it was a racing certainty they'd finish second since February. Their Champions League campaign will have to be put on hold.

Was wondering how long it would take for this to get bumped!

Can't see them winning the playoffs tbh, their momentum's gone. Let's get a cheeky Forest-esque bid for Akpom ready to fire off as soon as their season's over.
Akpom is out of contract at the end of June…our cheeky bid could be direct to him, not to Boro

He’s not - they had a 1 year option they took up.

But if he's in the last year of his deal, we can do what others are doing to us for Berge and Ndiaye - Lowball at the risk of him going for free?
I don't want him, mind - one good year doesn't mean he can do it - but it might be something to consider

There’s nothing stopping us making an offer to buy him if we want to. Be up to Boro then the player.

But we can’t just offer him a contract and take him for free as has been suggested a few times on here.

Not being negative but I am realistic to the facts that unfortunately I think Boro will beat us to automatic promotion now šŸ˜”

Yes we are 4 points clear with a game in hand but their form and fixtures are way way better than ours with 14 yet to play plus they have the best striker in the Championship with Akpom plus Archer & attacking midfielder’s that also are on fire.

If so I think we will still go up through the playoffs though.

What do other members think? I’m just being realistic taking my blades rose tinted glasses off..

Aged well....

Middlesbrough fair plays to them. I think there will win the playoffs.

Good luck in the play offs. Pushed us right the way to the end of about matchday 38 and disappeared from view.

Hop you didn’t have a niggling feeling this morning, that you were going to burn your toast, miss the bus, and forget your lunch?
Maybe you should keep your niggling feelings unsaid, as it does have a tendency to make you look a tit, every time you say em.

I'm a clapper, and having listened to the latest Blades Pod earlier, and hearing Roygbiv chat on, I'll agree that I sided with him at the time, following the Luton defeat that that was the first time this season I'd doubted...

The Boro love-in was drawing parallels to the Forest momentum of last year, and the Sky narrative of the fallen giant returning to the big time. The Carrick love-in was also rife - and our injuries were ridiculous and our form was wobbling. Then, I felt it was only a matter of time til we were caught.

Now, I bloody LOVE that it hasn't played out that way for once. Sod the fairytale narrative - the Blades have been resolute, consistent, well coached and are well and truly fucking back! UTB!
