Thanks

Feel so proud of our club - brilliant job .

Hope you enjoy the next few weeks and that somehow , some way you get the credit you deserve .
The club will give him the credit he deserves with a fat contract. 👍😄

Can't imagine any other manager could have achieved more in the time he's had the top job.

Agree...however applying some perspective.

We have one of the highest player budgets and best squads in the division.
We were one the pre-season favourites and expected to finish top 4.
He also previously knew the club and all the players personalities, strengths and weaknesses
so it wasn't as bigger task compared to other managers coming in a afresh.

He's done a great job though.
This season....is likely to be a sliding doors season....there was massive pressure.
It was non negotiable...we had to be promoted.....otherwise we'd need to massively downsize, selling all our best players next season
meaning it could be many years before we reach the PL again with the club risking going into a downward spiral.

Hence why, when we hadn't played well this season but still managed to grind out 1-0 wins
I wasn't as concerned/ critical as normal because this season it was all about the result.
Well done Hecky and thank you.

Agree

But being expected to do it and actually doing it with the circus 🎪 surrounding him is another thing entirely.

Saved our short term bacon

Now

Whatever happens at Wembley ….

Let’s enjoy it …

You still worried? Not even we can balls this up.....I hope
Not worried at all now.

BUT if we don't beat West Brom and Luton beat Boro we'll be potentially one bad result away from turtle's head territory.

Don't want to be still be needing something going into the final two away games.

Think the ‘Circus’ thing with the clubs ownership going on will have helped in a way , taken the pressure off re expectations and he will have used it cleverly to quietly build team spirit . The only thing that bothers me is we all know that our midfield is going to be the one that has proven not good enough in the champ and he hasnt done enough to find other options ,cus surely hes not going to throw Coulibaly or Blaster in at the deep end now. This would be very unfair after ignoring them for so long , proud we have got there , just dont want humiliating , hope he has summat up his sleeve !

He has

30000 blades

The guy has shown tremendous character and bravery
Seems very calm when all around him are losing their shit and seems to be very knowledgeable about the game

The players seem to love him which could have been a bad thing in view of the contract situation and players being very selfish
His game management which I thought was his weakness seems to have come on no end and he's learned on the job

The way he handled the Injury situation and the loanees is exemplary
There were players clearly not fit being picked in the squad and he showed a long term view when it would have been easy to chuck players in who were exhausted and end their season as happened with RND and brewster

Got huge respect for the guy to keep this squad together in the face of all this shit and the words most miserable fan base shows what kind of a man he is

Can we wait until we're actually promoted before thanking him for getting us promoted?

We've as much chance pipping Burnley to the title than we have losing out on promotion.

Not seen anyone on here talk about us still having a chance to win the league.
Same as Luton and Boro fans stopped talking about finishing top 2 a few matches ago.

Reminds me of the last time we were promoted.
Most of the fans were celebrating after beating Ipswich at home
however some fans actually said it wasn't mathematical until we played Stoke,

Apparently 3rd placed Leeds United needed a 12 goal swing to pip us
if we lost 6-0 away to Stoke and Leeds won 6-0 away at Ipswich, then they would have been promoted instead of us.

We're currently, at least 99.5% promoted and those odds are good enough for me.

I was celebrating after beating Ipswich. I'll celebrate if Boro and Luton draw. But I'm not celebrating when we can still be overtaken on points, however unlikely it is.
