I thought it was Ndiaye's worst game for us this season, but he's such a special player you can leave him on and he'll still make something happen. McAtee also can conjure something out of nothing - today's goal was a little bit of magic. These 2 players make the difference.

Under the pressure the team was under, particularly felt at home I'm sure, they did just fine. Its results that matter now and I've have snapped your hand off for 4-1 at 12.45.

Well done Blades
Are you serious. Ndiaye was our best forward, midfielder , defender and on a par with Davies. You can't have been at the game. He ran himself into the ground as always for the cause and no one helped him.
What was your opinion on Berge?

He was pushed off the ball way too much in the first half considering his height and stance. Slightly better 2nd half but he was still half hiding getting rid of the ball. At one point Sky showed the top number of touches/passes and Berge was 4th I think. This was more getting rid of the ball then doing something with it. He shows flashes of brilliance and insight but we dont want flashes.
The no.35 for them brushed him aside a number of times, did it to McAtee a couple of times but Doyle didn’t get his pockets pinched by him.

He’s obviously got the physique but doesn’t use it very much at all. McAtee has the guile but doesn’t have the strength. Doyle has a bit of both.

Saying that my dad hates him and he thought he had a good game today 🤷🏻‍♂️

6/10 mcburnie dont see that at all pommp he offered us nothing today 3/10 at best hes not even a good championship striker and will be of no use to us in the premier league i would have jebbison in before him every time and blimey what has happened to bogle he has to be dropped for next game keep clark in and baldock back to rwb

No I wasn't at the game - I was watching it on TV and just before he scored I thought it was time to rest Ndiaye as he looked like he was struggling, but I also thought, if you keep him on you never know....that's the great thing about him, he never gives up.

Not sure what's wrong with Bogle. He's much more talented than Baldock and could become a good level Premier League player,
I'm a fan and see the huge potential he has. His attacking wing play gives us a new threat.

However in recent matches his mind seems elsewhere...he not only seems half asleep when defending but weirdly he doesn't seem that bothered.
He needs to learn from Baldock to be more aggressive with more desire and will to win.
He’s still only 22 and coming back from an awful injury with a few complications. He won’t be consistent at that age. I get that a lot of our fans (not you) have a need for a scapegoat, but he needs to be cut some slack & needs supporting.

The way Ndiaye pushed the ball around the keeper was Pele-esque. And smashed it home for good measure.

Ndiaye had absolutely zero support on so many occasions. He's there juggling the ball around, three defenders after him and no support from anyone at any point.
They are not a team, just a fucking collection of individuals.

Like all around me I thought he was weak and awful symbolised by his yet again losing possession and getting booked for a poor attempt at a shirt exchange with the Cardiff player who so easily dispossesed him. He improves for the last 20 minutes but I'd have hooked him instead of McAtee,

I may be wrong about Hinchcliffe- but my recollection is that when we went up last he praised the hell out of us and said we would be a breath of fresh air in the prem and easily hold our own - which of course he was right about

Maybe I’m wrong ?

That's my recollection as well to be honest. In fact the whole Sky narrative towards us during the Wilder promotions and 1st PL season was universally positive.

We have just fallen out of favour with them, and we don't have Carrick or Kompany as manager, whom they like to drool over.

Fuck em anyway, in many ways it's better then we have our backs to the wall.

Great win for us. Another three points and a result which should have been written all over the game from start to finish but at times wasn't. In fact there were brief moments when we looked like we didn't even deserve to win. It actually illustrates that although we are where we are and looking at promotion, we are so far short of having a PL prepared team that unless we fuck a few players off and buy better, next season aint gonna be much fun again.

Usual United start for us, first ten look in control and likely to make some mark but then fade badly and allow the opposition, in this case Cardiff who are really bobbary-ploppar to get back at us. After ten they made some nice ventures up the pitch and made us work hard and eventually won a corner. This was odd as Cardiff played so deep and just mopped us up. Suddenly they have a penalty courtesy of Lowe's high kick (and it was a penalty, you can't expect to get away with that) and we are 0-1 down. I'm grateful we went back at them and within minutes McAtee breaks through and equalises but all over the pitch today we looked either fragile in defence (both wingbacks) uncomposed in midfield (Berge especially) and starved of opportunity particularly in the first half. There were periods also when one felt Cardiff could do what so many teams have done in the past and nick all three points by managing an undeserved lead. But, thanks to a simply epic cross and bravery by Jackie Boy, some sublime wonder from NDaiye and a tap in from the returning Clark we got the scoreline we should have really looked like having.

Part of our problem is the thinness and lack of competition by either injury hit positions. LWB has just a tremendously poor Lowe vying for the billet, when one CB drops out we have to resort to the utility player Baldock filling in and free rein to another underperformer in Bogle. I get Hecky's idea of 3-4-2-1 today but with the players we had it clearly wasn't making much impact and Cardiff really had a particularly easy time until we realigned to a mor familiar 5-3-2 with Baldock back in his RWB role did we look better and furthered our lead.

That said, Cardiff did play with the ref on their side - another disturbingly appalling performance from and official - and Sky Sports Football literally blowing hot wind into Boro and Luton's sails throughout the match and right now in Gillette Soccer Satdi. I don't wish ill on anyone but a lump in the teste-bag of Andy Hinchcliffe wouldn't have me too sorrowful because of his fucking abject loathing of Sheffield United and reluctance to complement us until we were 4-1 up and home and hosed. Utter fucking piggy cunt wanker.

Fuck them all.

Davies 6.5/10: Not a bad game for him. Gathers and catches but one or two dangerous parries and punches. No chance with the penalty
Bogle 1/10: Low score because there wasn't much he did right today and his fucking stupid fuck up in the first half almost had us 1-2 down. Unless we see some sot of epiphany and a change in fortunes, he can fuck off at the end of the season and miss the chance to be referred to as a 'Premiership Player' because he is a long, long way from being one
Baldock 6/10: Did what he could in an unfamiliar role against a front pairing of tall, imposing front line. Not a great game because he was placed thus and really should have started in RWB with Clark in as RCB
Egan 6/10: Fairly solid with his usual array of headed clearances, some which weren't very impressive. Backheaded a chance late on into the kop
JLT 7.5/10: Robust and solid. A well taken goal too. Good comeback since the fuckup at Turf Moor
Lowe 2/10: Another weak underperformance and indicative of him having zero competition at LWB. Poor going forward and poor defending.
Berge 4/10: Business as usual for much of the game with rare flashes of vague capability
Doyle 8/10: Really like this bloke. Dug out blind and didn't give up. Get's a ful point also for a fucking sublime cross for Jackie's goal after a shit corner
McAtee 7/10: Good graft from him and put the fear of shit into the Cardiff defence. Leant on somewhat and booted about but a cracking individual goal
NDaiye 8/10: What a fucking player. Just sublime and never lets the opposition off the hook. Go back and look at his goal. He knew McGuiness would fuck up, chased the ball, sold the keeper with unbelievable deftness, rounded him and with a flicker of a grin, booted the ball into the empty Shoreham End net. The best player in red and white I have ever seen. There. I have said it. Better than Woodward and Currie. Better than Edwards and Bobby Ford.
McBurnie 6/10: Did his best to get stuck in but is at his best in our box as a Centre Back to be honest

Fleck 6.5/10: Back to get minutes before next week. Didn't do too badly and was odds on at one point to score if found with a pass
Clark 6/10: Brought more stability to the back three and allowed George back into his normal role. Good goal from distance (25mm)!
Norwood 5/10: Not much to report
Sharp 6/10: Caused them problems with his industry and fight and unlucky with a late chance
Jebbison 5/10: Not really in the game

HJ&SMcC 8/10: They can only do what they can do with what they have and let's face it, much of it is still Wilder's legacy. Still, three points and well earned in the end after some frosty moments and going a goal behind too.

I thought Egan, as the lynchpin of a defence missing Ahmedhodzic, probably deserved a higher score.

Notice that you posted at 4-23 pm. Someone hasn`t put their clocks forward ! Not you I think.

thats football though
just watched man city 3 up at haslf time and an iron grip on the game
but leicester won the second half 1-0 and through citys sloppiness Ianacho had 3 opportunities to score<

hit the inside of the post and Allinson nearly gifted one

in fact it shows they do have frailties, if we get chances we will certainly need to take them

I was screaming at the tv at times first half bogle and berge sauntering round carelessly getting caught in possesion
but once asgain we came back from being behind, an essential trait when chasing points
again we got stronger in the final 20

Yeah. After Haaland finishes his triple hat trick we’ll friggin’ hammer them.

Cheers pommpey, i rarely comment on the my take but today some of the comments were mine, i hate giving stick to our players but today watching bogle, lowe and berge being passengers was shocking. The rest all good so to get a positive result with 3 passengers was outstanding. Keep up the my take

You do know Ndiaye has been fasting for the last 3 weeks & has been living on water & lucozade? Ramadan ends on the 21st, at least do some research

I love Ndiaye, he's an excellent player and if he performs like this regularly at the next level he'll probably be seen as a great player. That said, TC was excellent and at the highest level for most his career and so personally I think I'll keep mi powder dry before making any comparisons. I'd love to have seen them playing for us in the same side though, totally different players with different skills and strengths except for being classy as f*** and a joy to watch.

I don’t understand the player ratings. 1/10? How can a team win 4-1 and have a player putting in a 1/10 performance? I reckon I could go out there in a United shirt and get 1/10!

My markings start at 5/10 at the whistle and plus/minus as the game goes on.

Bogle was utterly pathetic today, a run of form he seems unable to break out from.

There were minor bits - he was lucky not to be 0/10

To me a 1/10 is a performance that is a complete liability e.g the team would be better off playing with 10 men than having him on the pitch.

I’m not saying that Bogle played great, but he wasn’t that bad. He was good in possession and managed to pass the ball to Doyle for the 2nd goal cross. There were some dodgy moments defensively but nothing that cost us. It just seems overly critical on the lad when he’s given his all for the team today and been part of a good, important win.

I don't think Bogle wouldn't have been anywhere near getting a start today if Anel and Bash's hadn't withdrawn late on. He's miles off his game. I don't think he'll start on Tuesday, if Anel's fit, Furious will move back to RWB, but it's sad to see how his standards have dropped. He's never been the best at defending but more than made up for it going forward. Now he seems lost and totally devoid of confidence but there's a good player underneath all the current dross.

It's all about results at this stage i think a couple more wins will do us. The fall off in Bogle though is becoming alarming no wonder Davies gave him a right bollocking. Talking of Davis I thought he did OK looked a bit rusty but no worse than Wes who is in a bad run of form. Davies will get better with games so Wes needs to smarten up if he wants his place back.
Good games from Baldock, McAtee, Doyle, JLT and Ndiaye ................. Their keeper is still wandering around the penalty area looking for the dummy I'lly sold him. 🤣
Just the sort of emphatic scoreline we needed hopefully another one on Tuesday and Luton might start thinking they aren't going to catch us and settle for the play off's, they are like an itchy arse when you have no finger nails.

⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

I was worried in the first half. I know we rarely look comfortable, but against Wigan, and Cardiff first half, my stress levels were off the scale, and I don't really need that at my time of life!!! However, it did get better. JLT was brilliant, George is getting back to being George, and some backbone developed.
The third goal was sublime, as is the player concerned. Can't see how we can keep Illy, but watching him has been glorious, he's just amazing, the best player I've seen in a Blades shirt.
Hopefully we'll get over the line, which I think would actually be a great achievement by "the management", with everything else going on behind the scenes. Roll on Tuesday, a win then surely means we're just about there!

Agree with your great report Pommpey shite in the first half was a lot better in the second half, Bogle was terrible and needs dropping. He is defiantly out of form. Ndiaye great player.we must keep him. better than Sir Keith I agree.Woodward and Currie not yet.different positions.

Dare I say 8/10 for Ndiaye a bit generous? Agree a lovely goal, but seemed a bit lacklustre and wasteful in possession a few times today. I also thought Bogle and Lowe improved 2nd half, albeit from a low starting point! McBurnie I'm afraid I just don't get, do we just accept he ain't really a striker and repurpose him as a defender?
No we just let him go at the end of the season. ⚔️

Thought Egan was outstanding today. Robbo got MOM but I would have gived it to Egan. Did really well against their 2 big guys in a mask shift defence without Anel.

Better than Edwards and Bobby Ford.

Gets a 10 just for that quote. Great read as always cheers. Champagne football it wasn't but I'll take 4-1 when we didn't play that well ...UTB

Bogle doesn’t deserve to start right now.

No disrespect but it’s like playing with 10
Men.

If the situation transpires with no Bash or Anel not available then Clark to CB and Egan to RCB is the call.

If he starts vs City it will just help them further.

Said the same about Bogle & Lowe for weeks.. no competition so they both look like thy are 'coasting' at times. Stop playing Berge in central midfield, its not his best position, but right side is where he gets past defenders with ease ! I just wish McB could win as many headers in the opp box as he does when defending in ours.. JLT MOM today.
