Cheers Roy…gloomy lot aren’t they?
I was also at that famous match in ‘71 and can confirm we had more shots than the 6 mentioned. We were rampant.
Same sort of performance and score tomorrow, please 🥳😂
Me too, one of the best night matches I have ever been to. We were rampant & they resorted to dirty tactics with twat Warboys breaking John Hope's nose with a butt.

Thanks Roy, they're hoping for a 1 nil defeat, then we're all in agreement then, what's the point in playing the game, everyone would be happy

Have we ever beaten three teams from Wales at home in the same season?

Muchos appreciatos panchero !

At least twice, from Revolution's digging from after we played Swansea!

To answer your early question, in 1982-3 we beat Wrexham, Cardiff and Newport, all 3 home games being 2-0 to us. That’s the only season we’ve ever played 3 Welsh teams in the same season before this one, I think.
Found another season: in 1951-2 we beat Swansea 5-0 and Cardiff 6-1 at home in the league, and Newport 2-0 in the FA Cup at home.

Funnily enough we have 76 points from 40 games this season and in 70/71 after beating Cardiff we had 75 points from 41 games when you convert up to 3 points for a win rather than 2 .

Interesting

I remember them scraping a 1-0 away win on a very windy night during the division three promotion under Bassett. It was a horrible night and match. We need to prepared for something similar and out battle this lot. Big game.

Interesting
Three points for a win was introduced for the first time in 1981-82, it would have saved us from relegation to the 4th division if the new points system was introduced a season earlier!
