I think John Fleck has compromising pictures of certain management staff involving an industrial tub of margarine, a blow up doll and a cucumber. It’s the only thing I can think of as to why he gets anywhere near the matchday squad.

Stopped it from becoming a basketball game. Ground them down slowly but surely and took one of our chances.

Then stayed solid at the back, with no flashy stuff or overloads.

Not an exciting spectacle or amazing performance but back to how we were picking up wins on the road earlier on in the season.

Good jobs lads

Bang on.

The commentator on Talksport 2, David Connolly who is a neutral

In his full match summary he said "very good away display by Sheffield United"
Said "Reading have an excellent home record but Sheff Utd never looked in any trouble"
and "they also had the best player on the pitch in Illeman N'Diaye"
"fair result in the end, the best team won".

Hecky's tactic when we take the lead - get 2 slowcoaches on for 2 fast lads + defend with our backs to the wall until the pace of João undoes us
The game was perfect for Jebbo up front to come on as there was loads of space to exploit, but I can see why he went with Sharp though, he knows he’s going to waste time by winning free kicks as he does it so well… I’ve heard he has a mattress on floor int spare room, backs into the wall and soon as he feels his arse touching it he practices his fall down on to the mattress, it’s a fine art.

Happy with that sort of performance on the road, but would love to see a commanding performance at home to boost the confidence a bit. Need that midfield to step up and take some control.

I thought at times we played some nice football. Ndiaye was back to his old self after being anonymous for a month or so. A real handful for them. Need to create more opportunities but otherwise an entertaining game.

Totally relieved with the 3 points but facing another playoff contender on Saturday , we simply have to inject some pace into midfield.
I was gonna suggest Ndiaye there instead of Berge , even if the undroppable Norwegian has to play with McBurnie up top.
But now Ndiaye & McAtee both injured so is it Doyle & Bogle with Norwood ?
Fleck Norwood & Berge is a recipe for getting outworked & outrun.

A lot of pressure on to win that and it showed you could see the nerves so I will excuse the dodgy performance, gonna have to be better Saturday

Great win. Ndiaye going off with a game still far from won was a reminder (if we needed one) - it's a tough slog without him, almost walking pace. Let's hope it's precautionary.

Well done blades, on the pitch and travelling.
Strong hearts and dry bedsheets.
7 points clear. Just keep looking above and fuck the rest.

Keep it tight early on.
Don't go gung ho and leave yourselves open.
Wait for your chance ( their may only be one) and take it.
Keep it tight at the back again. See if they're good enough to break you down (unlikely)
It's not rocket science.
