Right at the death... (though I doubt that's when it was actually done :D)

Anyone who hasn't heard the news might think we still have SQuinny playing...

Give him the 28 shirt and no one will know the difference.

Could be a good signing this one. But I said BT was a good one last year

All our problems are solved.... Fuki fuk fukk fukkk aarrrggghhhh... Pardon me, sshhitt bbugger aaarsseehhole ppiss cccocck fffffaarrt.............aahhhh thats better. Has quinn gone?

Please tell me this is a wind up ??? Kitson FFS what happened to the only signing "YOUNG" players ? Actually Porter has a better scoring record than Kitson recently. Since leaving Reading 118 appearances and 20 goals in the last four years, 32 yr old must have got a 3 yr deal ................. fookin hell :(

It is only til xmas though its not like signing Horsfield or Akinbiyi.

Id be spitting feathers if he signed a 3 year deal. BUT. hes here till xmas. Lets see if he prooves himself. he surely cant be any worse than Porter. Although his past record does not inspire confidence.

Seriously though. Are we the retirement home for has been strikers???

Maybe hes the player we need to show the young-uns how its done.

we shall see.

Not sure I understand this signing.

I think we're weaker now than we were yesterday sadlynot just because we've lost Quinn, but we've not replaced him. So what do we sign? Another striker. That would have been great had we strengthened midfield too.

Either we've gone backwards in strength, or we're going to start playing long-ball (might work!), or Cresswell is going to be on the wing?

We can thank Uncle Colin for those two drains on resources

Yeah when you look at the fee for both and the wage they were probably on it was a massive waste of money. People just assumed we started pissing money away when Robson was here but in truth Warnock started the ball rolling.

Exactly. I'd guess that Warnock made a lot more dud signings that Blackwell did.

I have no issue with this. We knew tye wage bill had to be chopped so monty and quinny going was to be expected. Kitson will give power up top alingside the kids. People moaned about no firepower up front well potentially we have some now. Cofie, Blackman, Porter, Cresswell and Kitson. To be honest if you had told me that at the start of the season i wouldn't have been unhappy.

Clapper ;-)

Cheds scoring record wasn't great till last year. Give the guy a chance.

I actually think Kitson is capable of scoring goals, but the big issue is that not that Quinn has gone, there's little bloody service for him.

Our wide midfield positions are so terribly weak and that we've signed a striker rather than a winger or two is baffling.

Well... it's baffling until you see... 'friend of the McCabe family' and then all becomes clear.

Completely agree. While probably inevitable that they were off, the reality is that we have substantially weakened our midfield with the only player in being a striker - when we already have Blackman, Cofie, Porter, Cresswell and Miller. All a bit odd really.

A strike force that some were saying, until Cresswells coach deal, was too inexperienced.

Maybe we don't need wingers, maybe we will just try and play it through the middle. It might not be how some want to see it played (I personally love a team with two genuine wide men) but if it works....

As we've been playing with a midfield diamond formation this season, it's possible that we won't sign a "winger" at all.
I suspect one of the SIX strikers will drop into Quinn's position "in the hole"', at least in the short-term.
Miller would seem to be best suited for this position? Or Creswell maybe?

I did wonder why the Academy were playing this formation, if the first team weren't going to.
Maybe this is Danny's long-term preference and he instructed Pembo to play that way also for continuity?
