It didn't get us promoted, and even taking into account the why, buts and maybes, it would have only gotten promoted by the skin of its teeth. They hardly left the rest of the league for dead.

Throw in the cost of Phillips and Clarke's wages on loan and pound for pound those players didn't reflect their earnings.
Quinny has never dragged us through an average performance to a much needed win, despite his relative star player wages. That includes our draws this season, he still couldn't impose himself on the game to drag us over the line.

Anyone on 2-3 times the wages of the rest of the squad has to be doing that, and has to have that kind of impact at least a couple of times a season. Never happened with Quinny.

I'm talking about the result of the trial, not the fact that it was on in the first place. I'd agree, if there hadn't have been a trial, we wouldn't have still had Ched after January.
