I hold dear in my heart the belief that Monty wants to play football on a regular basis and therefore will take a pay cut to leave the club...

He's a footballer.....

It appears the only club he would want to leave for is Leeds. I honestly dont think he wants to leave the lane otherwise. If he wants to play football and Leeds dont come in for him, his only option is taking a pay cut to stay. That's how I see it.

I think there is a chance he will be loaned out then someone may just pay half his wages.

Possible but unless its a fairly local club (Huddersfield, Leeds etc.) I think its unlikely. Remember he has a year left on his contract supposedly. He will be looking for something longer term if he's going to have to up-root/commute.

Howard to man city and billy casper to replace him in goal, their jud as goalkeeping coach.

I fear we will lose Quinny today but the only chance of shifting Monty is on a loan deal, this will happen over the next couple of weeks after the transfer window closes.

Sell one/two/three of our best players 5 mins before the window closes, state we've got some good young talent at the academy (who will be sold in the next 12 months if they are any good). Followed up with hey, the loan window opens shortly if we do need any players we can delve into the loan market.

I'm going for Quinny to Hull, and Monty to Dingles no other exits.

Monty to Leeds for £500k...................... McCabe will take out another loan to pay them, all repayable at 5% above bank base rate.
Quinn and Maguire sold to the pigs 5 mins before the deadline, MaCabe says the offer of 50p, an old copy of "The Beano"and a bag of pork scratchings plus the promise of a friendly at the massive was too good to refuse.
McCabe reveals plans to build more student flats in the car park and to convert the John St exec boxes into student accommodation to like minded tax dodgers in a French village boozer on the Belgian/Swiss border.

Yes it is, which is why I've no complaints.

Leaves Monty and to a lesser extent, Doyle and Collins, as the 'big' earners so to speak. If we can shift Monty on today we almost have a clean slate (at least footballing wise) to build from. Long term it's the only way but some people will be moaning we've let Quinny go for next to nowt on the last day of a transfer deadline again.

Well at least it's a done deal now and not at 11pm. If we don't bring anyone in there can't be any excuses now.....

Just Monty to go and we will be below budget so to speak. Hopefully the club will then be able to move forward (how well is another matter)
