The team need the fans as much as the fans need the team, and, we played shit, the atmosphere was shit, and hats off to them, as soon as they scored, they were loud, and got behind their team.
Unfortunately its hard to get going with such a poor performance, but WE shouldve been better!

Can understand it tbh with how we are but I can’t believe we are one of a very few football clubs with this mentality, 10 points in front with a game in hand before the game and we absolutely shit ourselves, and it’s reflected from the support. As soon as they pulled one back I couldn’t wait for half time.

Tbh I think we’ve been like that a lot recently, we do invite pressure on ourselves but usually we’re really good defensively. I think we should have dominated the midfield tonight, but the gap between Norwood and their front line was massive, even though I want Berge further up I think this was a game he should have maybe sat back, especially after our goal.

Some will have decent reasons for leaving early, some won't, all could have stayed if they really wanted to.

Most just aren't that bothered, they come for light entertainment and leave the moment they get the urge to. How it makes the club look, and the message it sends to the players doesn't cross their minds.

Or maybe the players need to look at those empty seats, realise that their crap performance is responsible and up the efforts to ensure that it doesn't happen again. They're paid thousand of pounds a week to entertain the crowd. The crowd pay good money to watch them, some earning in a year what some of the players earn in a week/fortnight. I know who gets the better deal out of this and I know who should be trying harder and doing better.

Just ridiculous though, seems like we’re only happy when we’re the underdog and it filters through on the stands. Hypothetically put us in the same match next season in the premier league in a game we would expect to win, we don’t play like we did today. So frustrating.

it was in the family stand. there is guy sits in that area with a fog horn of a voice. Not sure if it was him, but Robbo was clearly pissed off. Stewards involved at full time as well

I agree. I think at that point getting to the premier league was like a dream come true though. My kids had been going since they were 8 years old and saw games against Yeovil, Fleetwood and Wycombe as completely normal: the idea we might be about to play against players who they only ever saw on FIFA was unimaginable.

The players had never been there.

The manager had never been there.

A whole generation of fans had never been there.

Now though, we’ve done it once. And that second season was one long nightmare. Everyone wants promotion, but the fervour of a few years ago just isn’t there from what I’ve seen.
