The photo below shows the diamond formation with Doyle just in front of the defence. But you're right that it was fluid and all eleven did their bit defensively.

How did we concede Bergen? I haven't seen the footage but the RS comms said it was "pure route one".

Their goalkeeper kicked the ball long up to one of their forwards (reluctantly challenged by Collins) whose clever/lucky touch put it into the path of their onrunning striker. Maguire was wrongfooted and couldn't keep up with Elliott who shot hard past Howard.

Ideally Maguire and a fellow defender should have been a bit deeper behind Collins' challenge, but it happened very quickly.

Thanks fella - that picture makes it look like the supporting defenders to Collins were half asleep from the goal kick.
