But it does make sense for them to want the Prince to sort debts out that were only identified post takeover agreement.

I don't know what to believe anymore. Or how to interpret what the hell is going off.

No, just a transfer ban for 2 windows.

However - if we dont sell either of SB/IN, then surely it means we have found funds to sort the embargo.

No prospective new owner is going to take over a club with transfer restrictions for such a potentially important period.

There is absolutely no info from the club which in itself is a disgrace - the Prince (well his crazy spokesman was) was clear about his intended involvement in the club when Hecky was appointed - but one would have thought that Bettis would have come out from under a rock by now to add a little clarity and at least look as though he was part of the current running of the club - where is he ?

Feel sorry for Hecky really do

If we fk this up then they can truly fk off over the horizon as far as I’m concerned

I have to admit that the lack of visibility above PH has been extremely disappointing. I am not expecting them to come out and give regular updates, and I also suspect they are all effectively under a gagging order, but as you say it puts PH in the spotlight for questions, when he already has enough on his plate.

If the worst happens today and we flog both (which I still refuse to believe we are stupid enough to do) then I doubt we will even see Bettis again at a game, because frankly he won't be fucking welcome anymore.

Could pay the Prince a bit more up front with a reduced balance when the sale goes through.
 
Maybe just maybe no one willing to pay the buyout in his contract and are all trying for a loan which we won't accept, hoping we still wanting the buy out amount

Another theory to add to the long list of theories but must admit it's as good as any.

That's a commonly used business strategy.

Deliberately make everything appear shit at the start....then you swoop in like a knight in shining armour.
Make the right noises, take positive steps giving your new acquisition a massive boost
You also quickly get the fanbase onside and enjoy your early days of extreme popularity and God like status.

I wonder if PA has been playing brinkmanship with our potential new owners concerning the embargo.
Maybe he told them that he didn't have the funds to pay the Efl and that he'd have to sell a player to fund it. They thought he was bullshitting and refused to pay it out of their pockets, with it been PA's problem in the first place.
Then they fully realise that he's serious about selling Berge, and finally see sense, that selling one of our assets whist in this fantastic league position is bat shit crazy and pay up. 🤷‍♂️

Meanwhile we stick our nose in to the O'Brien/WBA deal, meaning WBA have to go for a lesser target, then we end up keeping Berge so Forest are less likely to get their 10m quid. The Prince is a genius 😮
 
I can't keep up, even if I quit my job and left my family to concentrate 100% of my time on this and the Blades Sold thread it is all just moving too fast. All these posts and as far as I can tell absolutely nothing has happened it is like an arthouse film but with less tits!!

Talksport reporting thst Fulham have signed Lukic from Torino. He's 'only' cost 9m which for a 26yr old who started all 3 of Serbias World cup matches looks good value.

This has to reduce the likelihood of them signing Sander and also puts the reported fee Forest want for OBrien into perspective !

It’d be a welcome and largely unexpected turn of events considering all the uncertainty, if we keep all of our players and maybe even sign one
 
Good they are both training.

Bad news is still got 11 hours left of this.

Other potential bad news is what the heck happens if no one goes? Can we pay this EFL fee? And if we can what on earth are we playing at.
 
Maybe Sander and Ili don't want to be sold - we can't force them!
I really like my job and the people that I work with. I might want to move on at some point, especially if the money is better, but if my boss came to me yesterday and said "you're moving to another company at the other side of the country, and you're going tomorrow whether you like it or not" I'd be like "FUCK OFF!!!!"
