If we have to sell someone I’d rather it be berge
Agree totally. I’d like us to keep both, even though Sander is not playing well at this point in time, but if we’re in such a financial mess as rumours make out, then it’s important for the club to get some cash in pretty soon to keep the club afloat and to avoid at all costs going into admin and points deduction. If it means selling Sander at rock bottom price to pay off some debt circa £10m and be able to keep Ndiaye then so be it. Needs must I’m afraid. We can still gain promotion comfortably without Sander, but not so sure we could without Ndiaye. This much needed income would bridge the gap between now and any new owners if they both agreed to it, whoever they may be.If we have to sell someone I’d rather it be berge
That is the way I view things and hopefully we are correct, although it does not seemingly suit some peoples agendasIf we were that hard up, you'd think we would have sold players in summer or earlier in this transfer window. Considering the timing of the takeover news and then the embargo news, I'm not at all worried. I could quite easily be wrong but it would have been easy to make sure this situation didn't happen, it seems almost intentional.
Whilst that is clearly not the case your posts on this issue suggest it should be.First season for me. I assume we're always this good?
With respect,it is public knowledge that we aren't paying some bills ( or a single bill) relating to football matters hence the embargo. I'll leave it at that. With respect you don't have a clue what our situation is. I'll leave it at that.
We don’t have a history of failed payments. There is only one and that may be disputed.I’m not sure under the current ownership clubs would accept ‘IOU’ from us when we now have a history of failed payments
Not when we are so far ahead.I think you hugely understimate the contribution Iliman makes.
Scores goals.
Creates / assists goals.
Terrorises opposition.
Works tirelessly to win back possession.
Huge boost to team mates.
Have your OTT.
I'll stick with No Iliman No promotion.
He really is that important.
Just because there are problems doesn’t mean we are in such a financial mess that Administration and points deduction is close to happening.Agree totally. £30k pw?Ok, please forgive me. I haven't had the energy to read through all 10 pages of this thread.
I only read about Everton's interest in Iliman in today's current bun. All I can say is, why the fuck would he go to a club with such a probability of relegation when he's already with one with a high possibility of promotion, with a club he loves, team mates he loves and with fans who think the sun shines out of his backside?
And still playing in the Championship, nah!£30k pw?
I’m not sure what you mean.We don’t have a history of failed payments. There is only one and that may be disputed.
Fair point, once bitten n all thatI’m not sure what you mean.
We now have a history of missed payments, Kieran Maguire explains in the star what leads us to an embargo and it’s a club requesting payment from us & if they get no response they go to the EFL who also request that payment. If they still get no response your embargoed.
Therefore we now have a history of missed payments, hopefully like you’ve said it’s a one off…but our credibility under the current ownership will have been damaged when dealing with clubs
If it was me I wouldn’t trust someone owing me money when they have struggled to make payment to others on time.Fair point, once bitten n all that
Exactly that, sensible business practiceIf it was me I wouldn’t trust someone owing me money when they have struggled to make payment to others on time.
Two teams within United World have now been embargoed. It’s damaging
Well that you could understand, a club on the up. I would really hope that he would want to stay with us to reach the Prem though, first and foremostIf he goes anywhere in this window it will be Newcastle.
I hope you’re right. When this news broke I was quite chilled about it, but after reading some of the threads I’ve become quite paranoid and it’s now become a constant worry. I’ve been a blade too long and it’s turned me into a bloody pessimist. Hopefully the next few days may change my opinion.Just because there are problems doesn’t mean we are in such a financial mess that Administration and points deduction is close to happening.
He would sign a new deal if he is staying next season. He will want extra wages and deserve it.Do you really think he's going to sign a new contract with us if we go up? A club very likely to come back down? With 12 months left. He can basically just refuse to sign and we wither have to sell on the cheap (which means more clubs would be in for him) or lose him for nothing.
I have no idea what's going through his head, but it was made pretty clear before that his agent is looking for something better.
There is only one in question and recently actioned. Not a history in my mind.I’m not sure what you mean.
