I was in family John Street stand and the only song apart from Greasy chip butty i wanted to sing after 30 minutes was " Hecky please change the team and make a substutute. I want to be entertained and same after 45 mins and 60 minutes.
Repear verses of take Berge off and Sharp and bring on Jebbison in my mind was going through my head and why are we playing so crap for a promotion team.
Apart from the 3 goals and points i travelled 125 miles to watch that turge and the atmosphere reflected the quality of the play.

Can't see it catching on

' I want to be entertained'.

You've chosen the wrong hobby mate.

When Jebbison came on the atmosphere was better because he was chasing down the Stoke defense. which created a great response from the crowd.
Got the third goal game over. proving that the crowd gets the players going. Bramall Lane is famous for being intimidating. The opponents and fans don't like that.
So come on Blade fans let's get the place rocking and roar us to promotion, Up The Blades.

It was shocking. Like it or not, the only way it’ll improve is some organised sort of signing area/Palace ultras style set up.

F*ck anyone's feelings of embarrassment towards the ultra set up, it gets the job done and creates an atmosphere that every team wants!!

The one match I went to abroad was sampdoria, end of season v napoli 2017, lost badly, nothing to play for, but they didn't stop singing or waving flags! I pay enough to go to the Lane, I'd much rather have an enjoyable time singing, regardless of result or performance 😤

Majority of the noise we do make is just random chants
that don't make sense

Yesterday ... we're not going to Wembleyyyy - (despite being in the 4th round of the cup to a non league side)

or shit on the bastards below (wtf is that)

Can someone put the lyrics on here for the songs we make up
as I have no clue what they are singing (apologies I am getting old)

we need someone like Paul Heaton to make some songs up
- bit tricky with Ahmedhodzic / Bogle / Fodeingham etc

Up the Blades
Think Paul Heaton already gave us this one..

It was our 6th year in Division One.
Chris Wilder came home.
Now we're at the very top
He's one of our own
...

Semi-serious question,

If all the issues on the kop were due to people buying match day tickets then standing at the back and the atmosphere has been shit on the kop since these people have been forced to move, then I can only assume that these people were creating the atmosphere.

From my view in KB4 the BLUT has been much fuller since the kop restrictions, so I can assume that all the naughty boys from the kop are now on the BLUT

So why isn’t the BLUT as loud as fuck?

Because it'll be 500 split between many families who make them feel daft for being loud and alot of the people who would have bought tickets for the KOP and stood at the back with their mates can't be arsed going to the game if they have to sit in the BLUT by themselves. A few of my mates who'd usually be with us included, sooner stay at home than pay 35 quid to sit by themselves

Somebody will complain and you'll get thrown out

And to whoever was saying it was as cold as he can remember, he must have a short memory or wasn't at the Huddersfield game about a month ago, not that it was an excuse at that game either
it was the 1st time in while where the cold got to my legs & i couldnt feel my toes at the end

Huddersfield to me wasnt anything special cold wise

Might be wrong but I've not noticed any difference in the kop atmosphere since our caring council intervened

I agree, it was as loud as it always is in KB4, we sang for about 70 of the 90.

Having said that I usually hear the other end of the Kop starting chants a few times a match, on Saturday I only heard them twice.

I also usually here the away end when its full but nothing from Stoke but watching away fans vlogs they were singing most of the game.

I suppose we have gone from a wall of sound to pockets of atmosphere that doesn’t carry well.

We need to get back in unison.

I think the fans were quiet in the second half because the bubble of confidence had been burst by the goal for Stoke before half time. Rather than giving the team a boot up the backside the opposite happened. We never got started second half and with only a one goal lead Stoke looked by far the most likely to score. We couldn't beat their press, gave the ball away a lot and even took a throw in straight to a Stoke player at one stage. No wonder the fans were on edge. You could feel the reliief when we got that third goal. The pattern has also been repeated in a few games now where we start really well and dominate and then lose momentum and retract into defending. That is hardly likely to get fans up and singing. Lots of us have seen too many defeats from the jaws of victory to get excited too early!! A couple of years ago 3-0 v Barnslet at Oakwell and hanging on as they got two goals back. Wgat about Blackpool match - 2-0 and looked like losing 3-2. We have history.

I think against teams like Stoke, Huddersfield etc i.e the crapper teams/those that stick ten men behind the ball the atmosphere is often less because the games are not as exciting as the opposition kill the game or the fans expect us to win anyway due to league position. I expect the atmosphere will improve when the likes of West Brom visit.

Some truth in that. I was so disappointed how we were unable to figure out how to beat the press when Stoke had that possession.

There's nothing strange about it. It's the end result of 30 years of deliberately attempting to gentrify football paying off.

That and the fact that every other cunt can't seem to watch a football match unless it's vicariously through a phone camera these days.
Spot on.
It's been a middle class family thing across the pond forever ... And so they have to use cheerleaders over there - pathetic manufactured tripe.
Unfortunately , even on the Kop , it's no longer a single male testosterone fest where everyone stands up wherever they've been able to shove themselves and you can get some really good chants going.
Rustbucket '89 finished all that for good.
Oh for the 1970s when I was a lad.
All seater stadia and mobile phones are counted as progress apparently , but not by me.

If 6'5" Sander Berge ever challenges aggressively for a header , the roof will come off 😉
And if he puts a proper tackle in , the silence will be deafening because people will just look at each other in disbelief 🫢

Heads in phones is the big problem I see...sometimes I look over and its usually gambling apps or tik tok, others are people getting all twitchy and effing off to the bogs to shove some snort up their beaks every 10 mins, sitting down which leads to a couch mentality where people just stare at the pitch like they're watching zombie tv like love island and people being unable to enjoy themselves unless they're blind drunk and/or off their tits on peruvian flake.

I'm 63 and join in all the songs. Get on your feet and sing Blades. Away atmosphere is better.

I'm 72 and I always stand up to join in my 3 favourites. That one about a sandwich or summat, that one about summat that happened about 40 years ago and that one about them players and a tub and some money or summat.

By the time I've remembered the words the chant has finished and they've all sat down and I'm stood wi' mi gob oppen looking like a prat, so I just sit dahn ageean!

🤣🤣🤣

And Family stand bars being closed up wtf?
Not sure whereabouts you were in the Family stand but they were defo selling beer where i was.
I didn't notice what type of beer or lager was on sale as i didn't buy one.
