I see the social media team is carrying on regardless, which is questionable under the circumstances. As far as I'm aware there's been nothing official from the club? This might just be a minor setback with the takeover going through, but the silence from the club is unacceptable imo.

I agree with those who say it's not the club's job to appease entitled/demanding fans over the takeover but it surely is the club's responsibility to explain to fans why we've been put under a transfer embargo and what they're doing to resolve it?

What’s there to say? EFL have explained it. I’d rather they were working in the getting the payments made as per the agreement.

We need to get our house in order

“The current financial situation and temporary transfer embargo is not ideal but we’re bustin’ a nut to fix it”

I’m not sure why we’re all shitting ourselves. We’re 2nd in the league 11 points clear with a brilliant squad & a takeover on the horizon.

Of course this was going to happen because the prince self admittedly can’t afford to run the club hence why he’s actively looking to sell.

We can’t sign anyone this month, so what? Chill out and get behind the team

Recent events suggest the seller is desperate to sell.
So with this knowledge, can the buyer now try to renegotiate with a lower offer otherwise he'll threaten to pull out?

I suppose the price has already been agreed, the contracts signed and the deal will go through pending ratification from the EFL.
However I read that the buyer now gets access to all the clubs accounts and financial transactions...what if he uses this to try to renegotiate a lower price?

No one is not getting behind the team, this notion that any questioning of how the club is run is tantamount to slagging the team off is nonsense.

The club have fucked up, people are worried. It's logical.

We will know more in two working days time if we haven’t paid the balance due
Get the begging buckets out tonight at the game, if that doesn't work we can use Strafford's approach of asking each fan for £1 each. Only problem is we don't have 4bn fans.

Didn't Foxy say on the shoutbox the other night to keep an eye on the Director's box tonight?

Perhaps rather than it being the new owner that'll be there, it'll be Prince who'll be there with a banner saying "you're getting fuck all out of me, Malmo"?

There's nothing to say. They'd just be jumping in to a perpetual social media loop.
Clubs mid takeover, there's an embargo.
Nobody needs to be wringing their hands looking for things to worry and complain about.

Surely it's the club's responsibility to keep fans up to date with things that impact on the club and not the press?

I agree there's not much to say, but the communication over the last year or so has no been the best.

And I realise they're worthless, but the club does have shareholders

Exactly. There's also no guarantee of promotion with 19 games to go, a mounting injury list and no opportunity to bring in players because we can't pay our debts...
There's also no guarantee that the takeover will go through (as per last time).
But you're not allowed to discuss these thoughts, or you're "a bedwetter."
Let's all clap like seals. The Prince is the best owner we've ever had. Everything is fine....

Think the club have been well aware of this issue for a while. I doubt we will issue a statement

Perhaps they should issue a statement to say we’re not issuing a statement

The remainder of the fee will be paid in 1p and 2p coins.

That assumes that the payments are legitimately overdue. The EFL are investigating whether they are.

Our league position has enabled the bedwetters to ignore the fact that the consensus oh here, not by the Fat Sweaty Dennis types down the pub who believe the Prince has Woolhoused the cash, is that things would be very tight and we aren’t swimming in cash. “We posted profit” cries not withstanding.

I’m not suggesting that they are, but what I have seen is a lot of doom and gloom so what I’m trying to suggest is there’s reason to be optimistic despite the news

How have the club fucked up?
