Not when they first came. You can't show what you're capable of if you don't get a chance. Plenty on here thought McAtee was meh at first. You seem to be all in on 2 kids from City and blame the kid from Brighton for not doing it. He got no opportunities in his natural position. Whose fault was that?
His during training possibly ?

Yea. I'm sure he didn't care. Young German international trying to make a name. Yea. Obviousle nothing to do with the management.
He has failed to break into Brighton’s first team squad. Didn’t excel overall with Blackburn and clearly hasn’t with us.
I would suggest there is some fault at his door preventing him moving upwards to top level football, let alone any possibility of becoming a full international.
It’s too easy to blame management when employees failed to achieve full potential .

I don't know Nightsweats , McAtee was being spoken of in a similar vein to Foden over at City's academy.
Khadra came without a glowing reference from most Blackburn fans...

Someone unkind might note that certain posters on here have an agenda against the management. Only 9 points clear with an injury crisis. Not good enough.
It’s fucking tedious. I come on here to discuss football with like minded people. I don’t expect everyone to share my opinion but I do hope to have a discussion with people who actually know about football. Every fucking club in the history of football has transfers that don’t work out, it’s part of football, it happens. I can’t stand this “give him a chance” shit, no one gets given owt in football, they have to earn it, it’s not fucking school sports day.

I read some posters’ posts and I think “either you literally know fuck all or you’re knowingly posting shit to wind people up or further an agenda” and I just can’t even be bothered to engage with them. It’s like going on Mumsnet and seeing posts like “can I feed a baby with my tits?” Or going on a mechanic’s forum and someone’s banging on about changing the spark plugs in their diesel engine.

We are not exactly blessed with pace in the team, so I liked him for what he could bring, but it's not worked out for whatever reason.

GLTTL, wherever he ends up.

Khadra's finish against Swansea in injury time from Brewster's pass was quality. For that he will be remembered. I thought it might work out for him then. We move on. Out and out wingers have been replaced by wing backs in the modern game.

Khadra has been woeful on the left, on the right, down the middle, off the bench and from the start. I do not understand how people are in any way disappointed about this. When has he shown even a glimpse that he is a Championship standard player? He's a German Oli Burke.

Hecky says Khadra leaving the club is in the process of being sorted

I think he also said some time back that Khadra could leave if he can bring in a replacement, so I assume Hecky has lined up someone to take his place?

I hope whoever it maybe, turns out to be of similar quality to Doyle, MacAtee and Clarke, as they have all to date made great contributions

At this point in his career you'd think that Khadra would have understood his own strengths and weaknesses, but as good as he sometimes is he also flatters to deceive, and this is something that appears to have become his stock in trade. So expectations regarding what he's capable of should remain low. We should offload as we expect much better in our transfer dealings.

What are you doing trawling through Mumsnet ?

I hope we don't rush a loan of some out of favour Premier League striker. Sam Surridge and Chris Wood were awful against teams that were closer to their level yesterday, would rather trust Jebbo and see where we're at with injureies closer to the deadline before we use up that loan spot.

It's like a playground at times. The various merits and abilities of footballers are judged wholly on what they did last time they played. Players oscillate between 'dogshit' and £20 million pounds. Our manager doesn't know anything because we're only 9 points clear but he never game a kid the poster had never heard of before yesterday a chance. We'd be 15 points ahead if Khadra had played more because hotshot1999 is a much better manager than the guy who failed at Leeds.

Good post, but wondering about feeding babys with tits, is that a thing? Should I lookup Mumsnet?

Anyway, footys going well int it? 😉

i would still take either of those 2 especially wood and maybe that horrendous miss last night may convince howe to let him out on loan hes a better player than what he showed at the sty last night although financially dont think theres any chance we could afford him unless newcastle paid at least 80% of his salary

The German Samir Carruthers for me, was buzzing when we got him but I think it’s a mix of being out of position and not training well. Don’t mind if he does go to Birmingham and helps take points off teams around us

That’s a good comparison in terms of expectation vs reality.

Aside from playing alright against us in a game that his team lost and that he missed a penalty what has he shown?

People have been sympathetic towards him. Nobody has been on his back, only willing him on.

I can’t remember all his matches setting aside his bright movement against Swansea, he’s tended to come on, make the wrong decision, run into busy areas and lose possession when we needed to retain it or just fluffed his lines. Even when a simple pass to McBurnie would have created an almost certain goal he miscontrolled the ball. That was perhaps an early warning that he was far from the finished article.

He’s still young but it isn’t that he hasn’t been given chances. He hasn’t really warranted them. Also look at the alternatives. Who are we dropping to give him time to play himself into form? Ndiaye who has the most goal contributions this season in the Championship? McAtee, who seems to have really kicked on? McBurnie, joint top scorer in the Championship before injury? Sharp, club captain and Championship all time scorer? I’m afraid you don’t get chances if you simply aren’t making a compelling enough case to get them and that is the case here.

I know Hecky wants numbers and managers are always greedy for having enough options, but for what he brought, it’s not a clear case of just giving his minutes to Jebbo. He’s shown enough these past two games to make you think it is a worthwhile investment of time. Only remaining question is whether you keep Osula here to maintain the numbers or let him out again.

Just 20 games left. Time to just deal with that and crack on.
