Teams always want to take the Sheffield United scalp because of our reputation. No wonder lesser teams need so little motivation to give us a game. Our league position just makes it easier for opposing managers to motivate them.

PH has to face the press whatever happens. Given he cannot get board approval to do everything he wants, he can only use the presser to give misleading information for our next opposition. He is forbidden to criticize the board because he took the job of football manager of a development club, understanding those limitations.

The fans will get frustrated by this situation, but we are only a small, but important part of the big picture.

I'd take stuff like that with a pinch of salt given Burke has scored against Dortmund and Stuttgart this season!

He strikes me as someone only happy when working "on the grass" with his players. I don't see him happy behind a mic and maybe let McCall and Lester do more of that. He isn't an easy listen, and constantly saying "listen" to the interviewer whilst I'm sure isn't a deliberate attempt to seem superior dosen't sit well. He also seems close to saying something along the lines of "I know what I'm doing" on the ridiculously rare occaisions he's asked any question which isn't a full toss for him to smash for 6.
I want journos to ask the difficult questions. If they don't then don't bother with an interview just get a room.

I imagine that anything a manager says in a pre game presser is fluff. The opposition manager wouldn't bother listening to it as there would not be a scrap of useful information in it.

If they ask “difficult “ questions they are very unlikely to get an answer of use.

There is nothing encouraging coming out of the Lane.
Unexplained absences or injuries to key first teamers Lowe , Clark , RND , Fleck , Brewster , McBurnie.
Two young strikers are described as "just babies".

It's so depressing , to the point of being barely credible.
