Nine points clear of third place.
A point away from home after a hard fought match.
Anyone would think we’re bottom of league one.
Someone has suggested we dump Egan.
Many have slated Berge who actually wasn’t that bad.
Some are criticising our manager who has the best record of anyone in the championship over the last twelve months.
I find the reactions of many pathetic. Every team has off days, every team drops points.
Only the inadequate can be at their best all the time.

Some good points but most of the people are only stating their opinions on one specific game and that’s tonight’s, if they aren’t allowed then shut the fucker down.

I thought we played crap and lacklustre in general until the last 10 to 15 mins but on chances alone should’ve still won the game, who gives a fuck what’s happened in other games, take tonight’s comments on the game and merits alone.

Tell them to back their logic up then challenge it, if you can’t challenge it then either maybe they have a point or it’s a blatantly stupid comment from said person, make your own mind up on that one.

I appreciate all of that. I’m not chucking the baby out with the bath water.

But Berge was rubbish tonight and he has been regularly. It’s ok to expect and ask for more from your second best player.

The pursuit of excellence involves a constant quest for improvement.
If there are things to improve , you get nowhere by ignoring them.
Hecky himself has only the other day said he wants to win every game and accumulate points as fast as possible.
It won't happen if we carry on like tonight.
I doubt the management & players will think that tonight was successful.

It’s just the forum working - many of us were clearly genuinely baffled by the team selection, compounded by leaving misfiring players on the pitch. If Jebbison, McAtee and Bogle had played for the majority of the second half, based on the paltry time they were all together, we would have cruised that game.
So, no one is having a meltdown, it’s just opinions and discussions on the match just played.

It's a tricky one, because our management team, and players, themselves demand very high standards. Therefore when the team doesn't hit those standards, or at least get the basics right in a game, then it is fair enough that the supporters are as critical as the aforementioned probably will be when they reflect on the game themselves.

I also haven't paid god knows how much £££ to travel to West London and back at these ungodly hours, to watch what was (largely) a very underwhelming performance, so I certainly don't blame those who have, or anyone who pays good money to follow the team however they can, for having a pop.

However, it does seem like some can't wait to chuck their toys whenever we aren't dry humping teams.

I'm counting this as a meltdown:

When I play Football Manager we play silky football like Man City and win every game at a canter. Hecky is sending out sides which don't do this and needs to be sacked. If a player has a bad game or two they are shit and not worth any money and we need to buy better with out magic money tree. If the same player has a couple of good games then he's worth £20 million and we would be stupid to see them.

There are a fair few posters at home itching to post another Hecky out thread despite him having the best record in 2022 in an injury crisis. He'll never be Chris Wilder for some and that is not acceptable. Not enough passion. Doesn't kiss the badge or go on about how big a blade he is.

Reasonable points. Not sure this will catch on

I will go out on a limb and make a prediction that we will not win every game between now and the end of the season by a 3 goal margin, we may in fact possibly lose and draw a few.

My suggestion is put the toys back in the box and stick the dummy back in as it doesn't half make you look like the neighbours when you go full bipolar about the results.

Win at home and draw away is 2 points per game which with a 9 point start means it is virtually inconceivable we will be caught by the pack. Which by the way would still mean playoffs which we would have all settled for at the start of the season!

Keep calm and carry on

It's true, many fans would do well to change their way of thinking.

P.S. I'm sure I saw you write on Shoutbox that you turned the match off before it finished...!?

Could have been eleven. But hey, why not want for more, eh?

A point away from home after a hard fought match.

Hard fought? Up to about 80 minutes it was difficult to see who was 1-0 up, the way we were casually passing it round the back.

Well, given QPR got tubbed by Luton at LR last game, it's a fair assumption

Someone has suggested we dump Egan.

Everyone has opinions, Edin. So do you.

Many have slated Berge who actually wasn’t that bad.

There was a twelve minute period in the first half and an eight minute one in the second where the twat never touched the ball. 'Wasn't that bad'. £20m worth of him.

Stats eh?

You find most things critical of United 'pathetic'. It's a bit pathetic, actually.

Only the inadequate can be at their best all the time.

And last night was a key example. If that was our best against QPR, we are indeed inadequate

Its also a skill to never see the reality of competitive sport and be a casual observer. If you want a forum where criticism is banned, start your own

When I was in Year 8 at school, an administrative error led to me being placed in the bottom set of English class instead of the top set. For the first two weeks, I was surrounded by mouth-breathing fucktards who ate crayons and shat their pants.

Supporting this team is simply an extension of that experience. Being surrounded by thick cunts is merely the price of admission.

You’re right, I turned off at 95 mins because my stream is always at least a couple of mins behind. I thought it must be over, then the Shoutbox told me otherwise.
If this is how we get a last minute equaliser, I’ll have to do it next time we need one 😀

My post has 50 likes so far. I think we can safely say you’re wrong in most fans opinion.

This is the pertinent point, we played crap and got away with it. If we've been less than good the last few games then it's worked as we've won them all.

Some fans are trying to change what's happened in the last few games to make a point about the performance last night.

People need to be fair to QPR and they've got Willock and Chair, who always cause us problems. They also stopped Norwood getting the ball. This is a surefire way to make us look shit. When they dropped off second half we looked the better team, sometimes as the away team we have to expect to work for the result like we did last night. Aside from a mistake and a deflection they wouldn't have scored either.

Fuck me. And you use the word 'pathetic' so well. 'We' as in 'who?' and 'Most fans' huh?

Most of 'My takes ... ' average that every time, even the ones where I am describing United as substandard. And I've been doing them for years, so ner-ner-ne-ner-ner. I can safely say I have thousands of fans in my gang ... and no girls allowed either!

Mostly Good on the ball, a passenger off it. Him and Doyle just didn’t work against the QPR midfield.

Was he rubbish? No. He wasn’t. Just not his best game all round

Did we play well last night ? Did we fuck
Can we play better ? Yes we can
Have we played better this season, of course we have .
I’ll give the team a bit of leeway after performances like that
This they same team that destroyed Blackburn, at the moment our nearest rival , crushed Reading and Millwall, came back from 2 nil down v Norwich.
And made the current league leaders a fucking laughing stock at home .
I disagree with Hecky most team selections , I would not pick Stevens or Billy as starters if possible, I think his substitutions at times are baffling.
But we could have equalled a club record last night of 6 away wins on the trot I think
Have the best away record in the league ,
Currently sit second in the league and are 9 points (3-4games ) ahead of our nearest rivals
Plenty to criticize our team over its display last night , but in a wider picture this club and team of ours deserves a bit of slack
Since he took over , not my first choice I’ll admit
Hecky has taken us to a playoff shootout
And in my opinion promotion in less than 2 seasons
Could it be better fucking right it could , but I’m not going to fill in the team on last night’s performance, they’ve earned it , for we’re they are and so far what they’ve done .
Say it now , play kids on Saturday, lose , and concentrate on league .
Brentford won last night they’ll probably stay up if the do in the time they’ve stayed up they’ll have got over 400 million in tv money that should be our aim
