Not if he isn't putting in the work in training he doesn't.Except Khadra seems to want to play.
It's possible he's not gritty enough in training etc.It seems from what PH has said that the ball is in our court re: sending Khadra back in January as he's played enough minutes for us that Brighton can't recall him.
It looks absolutely nailed on that we're going to send him back as that will also negate the risk of us getting caught out by the obligation to buy clause upon promotion clause, which we obviously won't want to trigger.
I think there's a bit of brinkmanship from PH going off, as he'll be trying to force the Board's hand to free up funds if he sends Khadra back.
It's a shame it's not worked out for either party, but I think there's more to this than meets the eye...
... maybe a falling out behind the scenes, a poor attitude in training... both?

Maybe not, but I'm sure there's something in his contract with us about a permanent move?To be fair, it doesn’t really matter if he’s trying in training or not now, as he’s not really in Hecky’s mind as an option.
The easy argument to my next point is “but Billy scored for us and Khadra might not have”, which is valid, but I do wonder if starting Khadra in these past few games over Billy may have given him a consistent run of games to see what he can do (and could’ve been hooked for Billy if it wasn’t working).
Footballers need a run of games to get firing, but aren’t always afforded that as an option. It happened with McB, the perseverance from Hecky that he could start scoring. The same hasn’t been afforded to Khadra or Brewster (though the latter is also recovering from injury so that’s more understandable).
I think if we’d seen more of him, it could be argued that Hecky wants him around, but the bit part appearances don’t fill me with confidence that he’ll be here in February.
Hes quick and puts a decent cross in but hes not at our level im afraidHes been fucking awful mateHecky said that last nights squad was the best he had available & Khadra’s absence was tactical .
If he thinks Jebbison is a better option than Khadra I think I’d call it a day on the loan if I was the player ??
We go to all the trouble of chasing his loan signature & then use him sporadically in 10 minute cameos often out of position ?
Played behind the front 2 at Blackburn in a similar role to the old Duffy role .
Seems that there is an issue between the two & if that if the case probably better for all parties to end the loan & free up a slot for another signing?
Find it bizarre to be honest , personally think the lad could be a great asset ??

Paul Heckingbottom adresses Reda Khadra future after Sheffield United absence
The on-loan forward was not part of the matchday squad that made the trip to Blackpool on Thursday eveningwww.examinerlive.co.uk
...if he plays a certain number of games/minutes. I doubt he's anywhere near that.
I think it was likely more an option to buy if he meets those milestones with a potential fee agreed already.
Bizarre how ?That would explain the bizarre treatment of this player.
If he plays matches then it leads to a financial commitment from the club.
Looks like Hecky's decided he doesn't want him next season, so that means there's some pressure NOT to play him.
You would expect him to move in Jan because it's unfair on Khadra, he's hardly been given a chance.
Alot younger than Duffy though, he could learn.Hes quick and puts a decent cross in but hes not at our level im afraid
Will do ok at some mid table cloggers who use him as an out and out wideman but i dont see him in the duffy role ,he lacks the inteligence
I was thinking last night when McBurnie, Fleck, Osborn, RND & Brewster are back he doesn’t get in the squad. Hecky likes all those players more too so they’d get picked ahead of him.We usually have more than one striker on the bench and youngsters Jebbo and Brooks were picked ahead of him.
that may explain why he isn't getting picked. UTB...if he plays a certain number of games/minutes. I doubt he's anywhere near that.

It's ridiculously difficult trying to select the subs if we have everyone fitI was thinking last night when McBurnie, Fleck, Osborn, RND & Brewster are back he doesn’t get in the squad. Hecky likes all those players more too so they’d get picked ahead of him.
So you’ll have a player not in the squad who we’re paying a decent whack for. I can see why they’re considering sending him back
Having watched the qpr v luton game, i think khadra could do well. Rangers were woeful at the back and would hate a player running at them at pace. It's certainly worth a shot. The fact he said in his post match that we would see Khadra at QPR makes me think there’s also an element of mind games. Saying to the player look we’re gonna let you go unless you improve. Who knows if it’s attitude in training, fitness, or performance when he brings him on that’s causing the problem. Maybe airing this in public is the last roll of the dice to get a reaction out of Khadra
When Berge made that run down the right hand side yesterday I was just waiting for that hamstring to tearIt's ridiculously difficult trying to select the subs if we have everyone fit
Fortunately we'll never have to worry about that![]()
Pretty sure he'll stay fit till the end of the transfer windowWhen Berge made that run down the right hand side yesterday I was just waiting for that hamstring to tear
100%Even if he's not starting games I still see him as a really good option to have from the bench. When players are tired he's the last thing you want to see running at you.
It's a shame it hasnt panned out well for all parties and suspect we may well make the call to send him back (if we have someone else lined up for his wage/loan spot) but he can still contribute in the right situation.
Maybe Hecky has seen the limited impact Khadra has had, gone back to his original remit of bringing on our own players and prefers those minutes to go to Jebbo.
He's already got a difficult job when fit of accommodating Ndiaye, McAtee, Berge AND McBurnie and then you have Sharp. So at best Khadra is 6th pick in the front three positions so that's also two spots on the bench taken. That's not even considering Hecky must have some development plan for Jebbison if he isn't going out on loan. Some young lads will come on through games elsewhere, others will be chosen to train as part of the first team and pick up minutes where they can. Maybe he is the latter.
Either way, when you look at the bench, you've probably got:
Davies/Amissah
Bash/Robinson
Bogle/Baldock
Lowe/Stevens
Doyle/McAtee
Sharp
Jebbison
You then have hopefully space potentially to find for Coulibaly and Osborn in the matchday squad in a little while and that is totally ignoring Fleck, Brewster, Norrington-Davies.
Just don't see how the lad is getting any minutes.
I reckon the club both know that and have probably decided to blood Jebbison until the end of Jan possibly to keep him with us or send on loan and get a replacement that might be of a level to not leave out.
Appreciate some of the above are not exactly his position but if push comes to shove do you see him picking Khadra over Osborn on the bench? Just doesn't seem as high up in Hecky's thoughts.
Maybe the significant lead, rightly or wrongly is also making him relatively relaxed about it. He can probably remain but he's leaving it to chance if he gets any game time.
