Coventry - serious promotion rivals?

Given his recent goals I'd be tempted to keep Billy in the starting lineup for this. McBurnie can replace him at some point in the second half. Not sure about Berge. Maybe keep him on the bench and bring him on 2nd half too. We should be okay as long as our defence stays strong.

Burnley play on the 27th so any kind of win will bring us level on points with them. But we'd need to win 5-0 to overtake them.

Billy literally no longer brings anything to the team other than he will score a chance if he gets one, he's no pace, gets caught offside a lot and is not on the same wave length as ndiaye and berge when we go forward, considering his age this is entirely understandable, if oli is fit he has to start, he's been brilliant this season and has a great partnership with ndiaye going off, it's an absolute no brained, providing he's fit, this is easily our toughest fixture of the 3 games in this period so hopefully he's fit and raring to go.

Billy's been caught offside a lot less recently. I get your point about Billy's pace etc but I'm not sure that Ollie would have scored from the two chances that BS buried in the past couple of games

I do possibly agree with that, he will always be a far better finisher than oli, I just think oli these days will get himself in a lot more scoring positions and bring so much more to create other chances for us, that's obviously just natural considering the age of each player. Either way sharp will start at least one of the 3 games, I think Coventry are by far the better of the 3 sides so personally hope oli starts, however if sharp does start and get a chance, it generally is a goal so it is what it is either way.

Our biggest threat tomorrow is the manager. If he gets the line up right and lets them go for it we will be ok. If he plays the "I have no idea what's going on and I dont know how to change stuff" thing with the brains trust until the 85th minute I forsee a calamity.
Hope it's the former.

Billy literally no longer brings anything to the team other than he will score a chance if he gets one.. sure that's just what we need? As soon as he got ball at edge of 18 yard box last game, I knew he were going to score. Aslong as he keeps scoring I don't see what problem is. A fully fit Mcburnie obviously gets started before bill but if not, I'm more than happy to see Sharp start

Is this the manager who has us in second place and got us through a catalogue of injuries ?
Sometimes i despair.

It might help if you actually studied what happened during a game. I've had reservations about Hecky but the facts suggest he's on track to drive us forward, and these alone negate your pitiful observations.

Posts #33 to #40 just demonstrate what an awkward position Mark Robins is in.
I might be over simplistic, or over optimistic, but the magic circle of PH, SM and JL have put this club in an enviable position.
PH will see training and current form for what it is. He also has experience of being forced to play people out of position and players starting carrying knocks.(by his own admission)
He has a good start (Apart from Watford) to look back on, and the attitude and professionalism of those who got the team where they are right now. The majority of our players have improved since August, making the PH job more difficult.
It really does not matter who starts at LCB or RCB because the bench will have quality and reliability enough to give Robins nightmares. Anel or Basham, Berge or McAtee, Sharp or McBurnie, Baldock or Bogle, Clark or Robinson, Lowe or Stevens, Doyle or Fleck.
Strong starting line up, with a scary bench to back it up. Individually and collectively any manager, ours or theirs, will have cause to be scratching his head.

PH holds all the cards and he will pick starters based on form, fitness and experience. PH will seek counsel from his management team, but the final decision rests with him. The squad ethos he has built is second to none.
All players will sweat blood for him, and for each other, knowing and trusting his decisions like we should do.

I hope Norwood and Ndiaye are fit to start, and provide the glitter that any home game deserves today. ;)

Bit harsh on Billy, he's been fine the last few games and scored 2 really important goals.
McBurnie however needs to be brought back into the side and restart his partnership with Ndiaye, tomorrow's selection will be interesting.
I'd probably start Billy and go with McBurnie at Blackpool.

Coventry are serious promotion rivals ???? We keep winning matches fookin hammer Burnley why FFS are we worrying about one of the most non-description clubs in football history. I know some people will start to produce stats but if any club matches the word boring it's Coventry.

We also battered the club in third, when we played them at home, when at the time, they were top of the league.

Autos I doubt. But they are certainly in with a shot of the top 6

It is because I study what goes on during the game I hold those observations.
You on the other hand prefer arrogance to reason. Your post contains absolutely nothing of interest or value save a personal insult. How old are you?

Nowhere was there anything resembling a personal attack in my reply. If you consider my description of your comments as 'pitiful' then my advice is to enter the real world and appreciate what is genuinely regarded as a personal attack. You seem to have adopted an immature position by which it's enough to accuse someone else of an attack when in fact it's nothing of the sort. As for your final comment regarding my age, the answer to your question is older than you it would seem.
