'Our case is..that red mist descended'

Mr Jones adds: Our case is the red mist descended and the defendant watched his side lose the most important game of the season.
Is his case credible, we suggest, when he (McBurnie) says he is now aware of pitch invasions and the role of stewards? It is an insult to common sense.
The reason he did not go down the tunnel, say the prosecution, is because he was angry. He was entitled to be angry, the prosecution say, was because he had just seen his captain assaulted".

The defence say Mr Brinkley is lying

Ms Judge has given her closing speech. She said: "George Brinkley, the defence would say, yes, I am afraid, he is lying".

Mr Jones adds: Our case is the red mist descended and the defendant watched his side lose the most important game of the season.

If you're on the jury, what do you do if you think both the accused and the defendant are talking aboslute shit?

And their witness said he was in tunnel and went back out..

Which is clearly tosh

So we can't call him Dog Nonce then?

We need Roygbiv to do a View From to see what they're saying over on the Forest Forum.
I had that same thought. I had a look on some Forest massage boards and couldn’t find anything, which shows the difference between a mere mortal like me and a skilled researcher like Roygbiv

My prediction is that the last message will be from a Forest fan saying that W*dnesday are the classy club in Sheffield.

If you have a sensitive head, wouldn't the 'victim' have been covering his head to protect it rather than a water bottle and programme ?

She said of what happened: That boot lifted up like a ballerina trying to clear the legs of Mr Brinkley, who was clutching his bottle and his programme lying on the floor on a pitch he ought not to be on".

Oli for 'Strictly' next?

Flashes back to when I was sat on the train back from my employer at the time's Newcastle office when the Ched case concluded, convinced he was innocent and then getting the news via constant refresh's of my phone.

The "you're lying aren't you?" is asked to unsettle him, with a view to him hopefully losing his composure and possibly showing some annoyance / anger which might influence the judge's decisions.
Nobody is expecting him to turn around and say "now you mention it, maybe i am lying..."

Have we heard everything said? Were witnesses confronted with their inconsistencies eg he put his hood up (he didn’t), steward could see (he couldn’t), or was it as short as reported snippets suggest?

Wrong on two counts
Not his head and he did not stamp on anything as it is currently an allegation

Unless we're missing something, it doesn't even seem like the defence addressed the witness statements. Seemingly putting all of their eggs in the basket of "it was a hop, not a stamp."
