Eni Aluko would say that's nearly 1 a game28 goals in 143 games in the championship
Ched's 33. He's got a couple more seasons in him at Championship level. We don't need him or the attention he'd bring.
He's too old and we don't need blokes "who can do a job" in the way that Warnock used to sign all and sundry up front.
If we do anything, we need a loanee from the Prem (if we have a slot available) to try and see us over the line, not a has-been/never-was like bloody Ched Evans.
I thought you were taking the pissI'm saying he would be a decent off-the-bench option

I'm saying he would be a decent off-the-bench option if we are playing Championship football next season. This one could be Billy's swansong.
He's not an 'absolute wrong un'. He's worked hard and not put a foot wrong since May 2011 when he was in his early 20's. He was eventually found not guilty of any wrongdoing and released. Contrast that with eg McBurnie, who's been convicted of drunk driving, cautioned for violent behaviour and is now facing an assault charge. Ched has a clean record. On the other hand he is an absolute wrong 'un, regardless of the law's yay or nay stance and we can well do without the absolute circus his return would invariably bring!![]()
He didn't set the world on fire on his previous brief return but where was the 'circus' then? You can argue against his return for footballing reasons, but not due to a quashed charge for an offence 11 years ago.
That is a good shout and I hadn't realised that we still had a slot free. Forest did it with the lad from villa didn't they and it helped their momentum through the winter monthsIf we do anything, we need a loanee from the Prem (if we have a slot available) to try and see us over the line,
I’m not referring to his conviction and it’s subsequent overturn. The CPS and all those involved has been done to death on here. He's not an 'absolute wrong un'. And what 'absolute circus' would his return to the Lane bring? Is it a 'circus' at Preston? Was it at Fleetwood?
5 years from now.
Sheffield United draw 0-0 away at Man City. On the same day Ched bags 7 goals for Rhyl against some Caravan Park.
This thread is resurrected. Could he still do a job?
Being a bit of a rogue isn’t a criminal offence.Popping over for some extra-curricular with a girl he hardly knew that had already opted for his mate at the same time as having a girlfriend back home doesn’t shed him in a good light, does it? That was my point.
I believe the phrase "wrong'un" could cover both criminal and roguish behaviours m'ludBeing a bit of a rogue isn’t a criminal offence.
