Warnock Tips Terriers

Just read the article and I find nothing wrong with it. He's an ex manger to both teams and when asked by the BBC who he think would win and why, he gave his answer. It's no more than any of us on here or all the blades who think Porter is any good or that Hill should be offered a contract for next season based on one good game. As someone who has worked in the game for years he can see that the biggest difference between the two teams in Rhodes. Hudds have a 20 goals a season player (who has come back into form) whereas we lost ours at the wrong time. So when you hear all these ex players / mangers / journalist talk about a certain player being the difference between the two sides for the CL semi / final - this is no difference. We just hope, that the so called star player will have a complete shocker, which it often does.

Finally, i'm pro-Warnock. I have no problem with him managing other clubs be it Leeds or QPR. Over the past 15 years, Warnock has been our best manager and no manger since him has been close to what he has achieved. Yes he made mistakes but don't we all in life and in work.

All makes sense to me MPJ -

Those who says "who cares what he thinks" etc seem to be the ones who are most wound up by his comments.

Nothing wrong with what he says for me, and he's an obvious choice of a person to ask about the game. It's a good thing that the game is being talked about in the media. It doesn't mean that he'll be right in his prediciton. I also think it's a slight advantage for us if people consider Huddersfield favourites.

Give me the Job for 7.5 years and a £15,635,500 transfer kitty and I'll get the club a promotion and relegation again. He was at the right place at the right time, he managed United when McCabe had money and enthusiasm.

The man spent £1.8million on Luton Shelton, £750k on Ahmed Fathi and said when uber nobhead Joey Barton signed for QPR that if United had stayed up he was going to make him a blade.

£1.8million on Luton Shelton, honestly.

'Warnock is hoping it is Simon Grayson left with that same horrible feeling after Saturday's showdown while Wilson, twice a play-off final losing manager, can look forward to an away day at Elland Road in 2012/13.'

He wants us to win.

Well, anybody who has issues woth it will be able to have a word if they are lucky enough to bump into him, Sharon ,William and Amy on Wembley Way tomorrow.

He'll be going won't he?

Wonder if he's traded this kit in yet ?

I think someone waved a mic in his general direction and he commented. It isn't big potatoes and the more people think we don't have a chance the better. To be fair to the self obsessed wankstain he does hedge his bets.

He is still a prize twat though, no matter what he says.

Judge, if you don't like the warnock threads how come you can't help but pass comment? I know why I am wading in, because I hate him.

There will be cameras and someone will want to talk to him, what do you think?

that's a fair point actually.. i don't see why he has to stick his nose in 'all' our affairs..
and no i don't have anger issues actually.. i just don't like warnock.. never did.. i used to think he came across badly on tv because he was a 'fan' but then after watching him ranting about games with qpr and leeds i realised that in actual fact he is a d**k :shrugs:

edit:.. i'm sure if we lose he'll be back on tv going 'i told you so.. been downhill since i left'.. if we win it will be 'yeah i was trying to take the pressure off.. i left good foundations at bramall lane'

In fairness, ahh bollocks to fairness I hope he's there to witness a Blades win so he can see something that he could never achieve himself with us.

He is entitled to his opinion Hudds do have a good strike force, but it will still come down to who wants it more on the day.
Big games are often settled by an unlikely hero.

it's a bit like me passing comment on my ex'es third husband on.. i think he should keep his fucking nose out.. i don't give a sh*t what he thinks.. self aggrandising c**t

Fortunately we live in a country where we are still entitled to (albeit a limited amount of) free speech. Whatever you may think of Warnock, he was a fan (maybe still is for all I know) and managed us more successfully and for a longer time than most managers that we've had over the last 40 years. I think it reasonable that he might have and might want to express a view on tomorrow's game.

Blimey. Whichever team he 'tipped' was always going to annoy one set of fans. Do people really expect him to give a ridiculous 'United will definitely win 4-0' answer? I read the piece, seems pretty fair and balanced, and he's in no way criticised the club or fans. Is it a crime that he's said Huddersfield are favourites? If so, there's a hell of a lot of fans guilty too - me included.
the point is he always seems to surface around these times to give his expert opinion in the local papers and radio, why ? he dont even live round here.and its MY opinion and i am entitled to it

Did he 'surface' or did someone go to him for a view? I would suggest the latter is more likely. Do you really think he started ringing up sports reporters to make sure his view was heard? I don't.
