September 16th? My sister got married the same day - we had the foresight to have everything done and dusted in time to get down to the Lane for kick-off.

Not my birthday, but I was at that game with some mates in the BLUT. If I remember rightly, we were 3-0 up after about 20 mins. We were about 14/15 then & after the 3rd went in some miserable middle aged Burnley fan threatened to chuck us over the edge!

My birthday present in 2009 was the play-off final defeat......against Burnley.

My 18th birthday present in 2003 was a ticket to the play-off final the following day......against Wolves.

So in summary.....fuck birthdays.

Yes, it was 16th September, my birthday is the 17th

Funny how time plays tricks on your mind, I definitely thought it was my actual birthday, probably because my Dad took me as a birthday present.
My Dad hardly ever went to the football unless it was a special occasion which has sort of reinforced it in my mind that it was the 17th
