First half was abysmal but we came out second half with more intent and got the goal against the run of play.

After that, it was pretty much backs against the wall and I have to say, the referee did us a few favours tonight.

Let's hope Ndiaye and McAtee aren't badly injured but I fear McAtee's is probably quite a sore one.

Anyhow, another 3 points on the road with a patched up, chopped and changed side going into Burnley where, if Doyle, McBurnie and Ndiaye start, I feel we could get another 3 points with the home crowd roaring them on.

Great win! Very much the kind of performance of a promotion team…but that tackle that sent McAtee into the air was fucking disgusting. I don’t know how others felt watching that but it’s put a dampener on my evening
Awful challenge really bad that one

All the injuries have taken the shine off this win for me. Plus the fact I thought we were diabolical for most of the match.

Backs against wall great win showed character dug in bring in Burnley before that 3 days fucking work but UTFB

Dear god no to Osborn in midfield

He wasn't great tonight with the ball, especially second half, but jesus did he put a shift in pressing them and denying them time on the ball..

I'm not his biggest fan, but his work rate needs to be acknowledged..

He seemed to be everywhere breaking play up, and defending.. ran his blood to piss tonight.. A huge contribution to those ground out 3 points..

I’ve no issue with his work rate. He does lots of running around.

We need numbers, and say, if we're ahead in the second half and Burnley start piling on the pressure, we need someone to add some energy at least. Probably not the right scenario to try a youngster.

Does Osborn seem a bit stockier after his injury? It's probably more muscles, but not sure it's helping his agility.

46 games , some or most look abit like tonight. Wet as hell. Some days we play and win other days we fight and win in the end its points that counts. We did ok in front of both goals, not so elsewere.

My issue is that with the ball he’s a poor man’s monty.

Without it he can do a job, but he’s just counter productive in that he makes bad decisions with the ball

The players coming back after injury, Stevens, Robinson and Clarke plus Anel back from suspension means the defense is looking a little more solid, added to that is foderingham.
If Doyle and ndiaye are fit and if mcburnie can do 90 minutes then I'm more hopeful than I was a couple of weeks ago

Saturday's going to be fun for Hecky picking a side. Stevens, Doyle and McBurnie really need to be starting but not a full 90 minutes. The front attacking three is a concern. Sounded good news on Doyle last night though, he did travel if needed.

Wes

Anel Egan Robinson

Baldock Doyle Norwood Fleck Stevens

N'Diaye McBurnie

Then whoever is fit enough for the bench 🤣🤣

I gave him benefit of the doubt at first because of the VERY wet pitch. But upon seeing replays, it was a shocker.

McAtee was close to tears. I also spared a thought for Pep Guardiola. He won't have been happy that his player has been forced to play on with a knee injury.
I'm surprised that we didn't just pull him and play on with 10 men (9.5). Take JOC into account, the long term damage caused to him, playing through injury is terrible, both knee injuries too... no way our physio can fully assess McAtee on the pitch like that. He should've come off.

McAtee looked over to the bench when he was stood in the centre circle and was like "seriously!?!?"

That's my Hecky dig out of the way.

According to heckys interview he didn't want to come off he wanted to stay on till the end

We should be over the moon that we pinched those points over, what must be said over a very promising Bristol City side.
If not for the post/bar /wes saving us ,we could have got a right thinking!
The lads battled well in appalling conditions, and deserve a lot of credit for that !
UTB 👏👏👏
