Hear me out on this one....
We're 15 games in and the table is so bunched up (7 points separate 1st and 17th) that any team can put a string of results together and have a shot at promotion.
That's not going to be us right now with all the injuries. But that will change.
My point is this: if we can get through the next six games still in the playoffs, I can't see the table being massively stretched by the time the World Cup arrives.
We come back at Christmas time - that's when the season begins. From there it's going to be a bizarre 25-game mini season for 5 months.
We'll get stronger as the season rumbles towards the final 10 games and we do have the squad that others do not.
I'm convinced the injuries will lessen and we'll see the other side. Even just by the law of averages and probability.
Other teams will get injuries and go through periods of weakness.
I personally hate it when things turn into a "Manager X In/Out?" debate. You can't boil it down to that. It's dumb.
Calm heads please. We will be ok.
