Ok Kenny. Let's see how tonight goes and then we can discuss.

I felt there was certain things that were necessary to adjust befor the first leg, and I was very pleased with how DW had us lined up and how the players carried out his instructions. It really was an impressive defensive performance.

Must admit though that it seems a lot more difficult to chose a success formula for tonight that I have great confidence in. Of course we need to score and beat them, but that was also the plan three weeks ago and we failed. I'd like us to dominate - but it seems their strength to deal with teams that try to do that.

Key for me:

  • Maintaining the focus and awareness of their attacking threats (counter attacks and quick wide men)
  • Higher tempo
  • More movement, enthusiasm and determination
  • Going direct earlier, if we again fail to outplay them

Good points, well made as ususal, bergers.
I would like to see us get to the line and cross some in for Porter to get a head to (as I believe that Porter will start again this evening). The only chance we had like that on Friday was where Flynn got to the byline late in the 2nd half and pulled it back to the near post - but Porter had not gambled there. Let's face it, Porter is not going to collect it from 40 yards out and skin them is he?
