We seem to have a lack of it at the moment. That's two players suspended after the whistle now. Plenty of other players (RND, Sharp, Anel, Ndiaye, Baldock, McAtee) looking for trouble. Overreacting and pushing and shoving regularly.

This needs to be cut out. We went top concentrating on football. Not on petty indiscipline.

Agreed. I say the same every match, if we don’t get involved in the niggly parts of the game we most likely will win. Also doesn’t help players missing games stupidly when we’ve got an injury problem too.

Wes and who is the other one that will be suspended?

I have been really critical of McBurnie in the past but I always wanted him to come good. Unfortunately he is one of those players who just cannot help but get involved in shit that he doesn’t need to.
Even more unfortunately for us, he isn’t one of those flawed geniuses that play better with some fire in their belly.
I get that there’s showing support for team mates etc but he just acts like a headless retard at times.
I haven’t seen the Wes incident replayed in full but seemed like a bit of a wrestle which ended up on the floor.
Officials really lost a grip of it today but we need to show more discipline

So you wouldn’t want a team mate or friend to look out for you when you go down on the floor, maybe you should watch the footage in full before throwing out insults from behind your keyboard!

Totally agree Oli. Show's team spirit and togetherness. Did nothing wrong in looking out for a teammate. Keep the form up and fire us to promotion. UTB!

I totally agree with the first half of your last sentence.
I just laughed at the rest as I found it so pathetic.
A player you admit to having been really critical of gets likened to a “headless retard” (absolutely horrible language, btw) because of something you haven’t actually seen properly or in full?
Something he didn’t get booked for.
Something he wasn’t the only player involved in.
At the end of a blood & thunder game where everyone’s emotions will have been high.
Where his mates on the deck surrounded by all sorts going on.
What exactly would you rather he (and the rest of his teammates) do then? Just stand aside & watch?
No idea if Bladesballer is Oli or not but makes no difference. If he was looking out for his teammate - good for him.

Totally fair point with the choose of words. I should amend to ‘fuckwit’

If you don’t agree that he loses his head unnecessarily then you don’t watch the same player that I do.

There is showing passion and sticking by your team mate but there is also being a liability.

I was actually referring to Wes’ involvement when I said I hadn’t seen the incident back.

The term “fuckwit” definitely crossed my mind………..

The officials were dogshit.

This poured fuel on the flame throughout the game. Blackpool were overly physical and this needed to be nipped in the Bud earlier on. The fore arm smash on RND early on was a straight red offence. Not even a yellow.

As I say. Dogshit.

UTB

I do like this picture though....20221016_094630.jpgSummat mustve been said to Wes for him to blow up like that and deck Lavery!!

Agreed. Their number 28 the kid that they have on loan was deliberately trying to wind our players up with snidey fouls, shoves to the chest , whatever he could get away with. Wasn’t even spoken to.

I thought the linesmen were terrible as well. No help to the referee at all.

I would expect my team mate not to act like a massive twat. I would expect them not to get needless bookings / suspensions / Involvement with the Police.
I’m all for standing up for team mates but I’m also all for acting like a grown up who is paid handsomely to do a job that most dream of.

I was unimpressed with McBurnie running up to taunt the Blackpool fans when we equalised. That was his first reaction.

On the flipside, When Anel was trying to get himself sent off it was Brewster trying to steer him away and getting a hefty shove for his troubles.

Your interpretation of that incident with anel is unique in that no one else sees it that way
He was never in danger of a second booking

Oh course

no one has ever been booked or worse for reacting like this in the history of football.

He was very much in danger of a second booking, twice. The ref could have viewed it as a shove into advertising hoardings, and he then reacted to the kick from their player. Abel’s got to be a bit more careful in those situations.

No need for the melee in the first place, take it you will be happy to see Wes sat in the stand the next match ?.

And again. What is going on in their heads. Furious grabbing their keeper of all things.

I'd love to know how many cards we've had for utter nonsense this season.

No need to get involved at all. The ref was fairly quick to red card their player so why give him the opportunity to book one or two of ours & risk suspensions when it’s already dealt with. Stupid when we’re short of bodies already.
