Reigniting an old thread...

Please, please, please can we cut out the following:

Fouls in silly locations. where their player is going absolutely nowhere, but draws our player into pushing them over and drawing a foul. Just stand up, usher them over to touchline, and 9 times out of 10 it'll end up with a less dangerous throw-in.

Pulling shirts. The Prem refs can see you pulling oppositions shirt and you'll give away a foul. Every time!

Kicking the ball away. If ref gives a foul against you. Don't kick ball away or pick it up and throw it away. Yellow card every time!

Stop arguing with ref. Once they've made a decision they're not going to change their mind. Mcburnie and Norwood take note! Just get on with the game.

Foul their player out of malice when they've got the better of you by skill / pace. Just accept it, and try harder next time. Robinson literally wrestling their player to the ground is a perfect example. Or Norwood & fleck making lazy fouls when knackered.

Norwood and Fleck couldn't tackle a fish supper without fouling it.

Robinson literally wrestling their player to the ground is a perfect example.

It was stupid, but he did it just after the man had jumped into him with no interest in the ball, rather than because the player had initially got the better of him.

He possibly also thought he may get away with it, given the officials inconsistent approach to allowing “physicality”.
