I was there too, great day. Elegant is the word.A very elegant player and a sad loss. Loved watching him play, especially at Old Trafford in Bobby Charltons penultimate game for them. Keith scored the winner in a 2-1 win for us with a magnificent strike from distance. Was at the game.
Missed in the 5-1 defeat at Leeds in Sept 74 when we were 2 down, also missed in the 4-1 home defeat to Man U in Dec 1975 despite Dearden scoring from the reboundA sad loss, great at penalties , i cant recall him ever missing one, rip fellow blade
Was on the Kop at Elland Road with a Leeds fan mate in Sept 74. Him missing that penalty wasn't actually the worst thing from my point of view. Took the conundrum of whether to celebrate out of my hands!Missed in the 5-1 defeat at Leeds in Sept 74 when we were 2 down, also missed in the 4-1 home defeat to Man U in Dec 1975 despite Dearden scoring from the rebound
Also had one saved by Clemence v Liverpool April 1974, but we still won 1-0.Missed in the 5-1 defeat at Leeds in Sept 74 when we were 2 down, also missed in the 4-1 home defeat to Man U in Dec 1975 despite Dearden scoring from the rebound

2nd half of the matchDoes anyone else remember him playing for the USA v England. It was in the US and someone lent against the goal posts and they moved
I can still remember his cheeky back kick to his goalie under pressure.
Wonder if Pele is going to the funeral
Tony Field as well.He used to play in the same team as Pele for New York Cosmos

Yes he did. Charlie George scored Derby’s equalizer on his Derby league debut. The 1 1 draw v Derby County in August 1975, opening day of season, opening day of South stand where I sat. Eddy penalty, did Jim Brown save a Rioch penalty?
All my relatives and most of my mates were Leeds fans so ended up watching nearly all our matches against them with Leeds scum during that long past era,Was on the Kop at Elland Road with a Leeds fan mate in Sept 74. Sad to see the news though. Always looked as if he strolled through a game, and was our version of the 'sweeper' position that was in vogue at the time.
RIP
