As if last night’s result wasn’t disappointing enough, I walked back to the car with the little ‘uns to find it had been nicked - parked on Abbeydale Road just up from Amici and Bici ( great cafe btw ). A long night getting back to Altrincham and a day spent trying to get contact insurers.

I’ve always parked there no problem so I was a bit shocked. Anyone had similar?

Had someone try taking mine in heeley when we played forest in the play offs. What car was it out of interest? Mines a fiesta st, thankfully immobilized and tracked.

Was it on one of the side roads just off Abbeydale Road, or on Abbeydale Road itself?

If it's the latter then someone must have seen summet. Always a busy road. Might also be a chance of CCTV picking it up from one of the shops along there.

Either way...what wankers!

Thanks fellas. Strangely makes me feel better just to hear it’s not just me that thinks it’s a shite state of affairs. UTB always.

Sorry to hear this mate, I had my tools pinched off a job which totalled a lot of money a few months ago so I know how you feel. There’s some right wankers on planet earth and it’s really annoying that because of how this shitty country is ran they get away with it.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Sorry to hear! You are right on the cafe, I’d ask around for cctv/doorbell footage in the area, I’d imagine there’s plenty around

…..and sorry to add to this but why should anybody who has had their ‘jewels’ taken have to ask for footage off shop managers or residents when we pay very high insurances and for the Police to sort this shit out? It’s very annoying, very fucking annoying.🤬🤬

Would love to catch them in the act.
My mate who lived in Edmond Road nearly did, a few years ago. They were pretty amateur because they’d put the side window through and my mate heard it smash. (Wasn’t his car). So he grabbed a bat and legged it out of the door. These kids just ran and he knew he wouldn’t catch them. Then he realised he was stood by a car with a broken window, holding a bat. He went home quickly.

I was arrested on Edmond Road for chasing some cunt climbing up side of my house fucking Chinese kids filming me on phones

He was climbing up your house whilst fucking Chinese kids filming you? Was he some kind of pervert Spider-Man?
Smackrat man. He let go of drainpipe just under bathroom window I thought iv got the smelly cunt, flew downstairs and started chasing him round a car on front. Police turned onto street I waved em down and they ragdolled fuck out of me 😂 they let me go when I managed to explain what was happening but the little rat was gone.

Don’t get me wrong, they shouldn’t have to, but the unfortunate reality is it’s likely everyone else will do sod all.

True story

Mate broke his ankle playing Sunday league, knew work wouldn’t pay him whilst he was off so said he did it on a broken paving slab near his gaff on Mansfield Rd - reported it to council for cover story

48 hours later got home after a sesh to his mrs saying he’d got a letter from council saying they would be out 1st thing to inspect said slab

He picks up a lump hammer and ventures out to crack a slab

Next minute one of SYP’s finest stood over him asking why he’s on his knees smashing up the pavement

Week later he’s up for criminal damage, got a bill off the council and been sacked from work

Just remember kids, only crime is getting caught😂😂

Sorry to hear this - I hate thieves with a passion.
Hope you manage to get things sorted quickly & the kids are OK. Not a nice experience.

Yes I know mate, my point was aimed at our own experiences having to try and find out who did it, it’s very annoying, not you or your post mate, my post was an add on to mine on my experiences alone, I should’ve added that, sorry.

I have a convenient baseball bat, plus a 10 stone akita that doesn't bark but loves to try and bite things that come on the back she doesn't know

The moral is, if you’re not an experienced criminal, don’t do crime, because you’ll be shit at it.
My ex brother in law tried to fake a car theft. He drove it to some woods and set fire to it. I think he pulled out some wires before he torched it to make it look like it had been hot wired and smashed a window.
But he forgot to break the steering lock. Coppers didn’t prosecute. They just told him they knew what was going on and if he claimed for theft on his insurance, they’d nick him for fraud. So, effectively, he’d gone into the woods with a load of money and set fire to it. Prick.

That's shit.

When anyone local has their car nicked, the advice from Facebook is to have a drive around both Gleadless and Woodhouse.

I'm assuming there are known scrotes that live on particular roads, as quite a few cars end up getting found 🙄

Surprised they didn’t just film you and then cave your front door in at 5am three weeks later.
