We've had a week of sulking and post mortems.
So league 1, great season, new ground experiences for lots and not the missery most thought when we went down.
So summer comes. We gonna moan and be apprehensive about how well we'll do in the Championship or league1? Either way, Championship more money available for players, League 1,High earners got rid of and quality lower league development players wanting to play for the bigger fish in small pond. Pompey/cov /donny no money. Club statement about accademy a few weeks ago, want more coming through to first team.
Great support this season has probably given us a bigger budget than we thought. The fear many have about being down for years if we don't get out 1st time I dont have.
Despite the recent weeks disappointments I feel a pride in us again. Football we've only dreamed of and goals more than anyone. Other fans giving us praise and wishing us well.

Like your optimism Boo, but despite the fine bottle of Mazuelo Shiraz I'm 90% of the way through I can't express how much I f*cking hate football right now.
I agree we've all had enough. One last drive from us all though would be great and you never know????

I think if we'd been pipped by Notts County on such a fantastic unbeaten run, we'd be lamenting the freak game against Oldham and the aftermath of a totally new back four for the next game against Walsall, holding our hands up to the cock ups and the fact that we'd run out of steam and lost our star striker to a devastating broken leg with three games to go, we'd be licking our wounds and praying that we still had some hope despite superstitious hokem suggesting 'we never do well in play offs'. Instead we find ourselves pipped by the horrendous blue and white, whose manager-sacking we laughed at after our majestic 5-2 away victory against upcoming rivals, hav ing lost our start striker who finally looked like repaying the debt of his expensive tenure to a horrendous criminal conviction with three games to go.
Its often joked about when a new born is mentioned on the boards that theyve been born into a lifetime of misery the poor sods and its true. I have spent the whole week convinced we would overturn all our misfortune of the last few weeks, even at 50 minutes in, I felt sure we'd be the victorious team. I watched with a heavy, pounding heart, the coverage on the FLS last night. Its never been easier being a Blade but I don't think its ever been worse. The whole Boxing Day thing is something thats hung over the heads of anyone around the age of 40+ since 1979... I think yesterday was our newer generations Boxing Day, something they'll have to put up with for years to come, especially if we do fail in the Play Offs.
I agree with every sentiment expressed so far in here but Oreyt really summed it up how fucking sick it is to be a Blade right now. I'm praying we come away from Stevenage with no mountains to climb, make it to Wembley and play MK/Huddersfield off the park in the manner we have all season. If not, its going to be a long, hard Summer.

I'm not remotely optimistic but I've renewed my season ticket.

Think that captures the situation nicely. :)
