Yeah I would agree with that.

Only question mark is Collins fitness? That aside I agree. You tell Cressy to work until he can work no more and then introduce the Headless Chicken or the Immobile lump. Sadly, we did it the wrong way round v Stevenage.

Dracula
Lowton, Collins, Maguire, Williams
Williamson, Doyle, K Mac, Flynn
BT, Cressy

Subs: Quinn, O Hallarhan, Howard, Ertl, Porter

DW seems to be talking up Danny P, he might get a surprise place on the bench at least.

Given that we realistically have to win to stand a chance of going up, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 3 forwards on the bench: O'Halloran, Porter and Philliskirk.

Isn't McAllister available now as well ?

Yes, but I can't see where he'd fit on the bench, unless we risk it and don't name a sub keeper.

I would think it'll be something like:
Simonsen
Lowton Collins Maguire Taylor
Williamson* McDonald Doyle Quinn*
Cresswell Beattie
Subs: Howard, Ertl, Flynn, O'Halloran, Porter*, Philliskirk
Although I have a funny feeling that O'Halloran will start up front with Cresswell, leaving Beattie as the impact sub.
Players with a * are ones I'd expect to get an absolute rocket from Wilson pre-game following poor performances against Stevenage.

True, I suppose Ertl has to be there for defensive cover on the basis there's no-one else !

I'm surprised we didn't extend the loan of Egan from Sunderland.
It's left us VERY short of fully fit defenders going into the last game and probably the play-offs.
After Ertl's last few performances he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad for games of this importance.

For the last 10 games or so we seem to have been using the 'score more than the opposition' approach although this may have been scuppered by a certain court ruling. Even though both goals could easily not have gone in last Satdi, they did carve us open quite easily and we haven't looked solid at all recently which was the basis of our success 1st half of the season. My worry for the play-offs is that we're going to need to find our scoring boots again.

You missed the * from Taylors name.

You really don't like him, do you? I should perhaps have phrased it differently: the * indicates players who can and should have performed better against Stevenage. In my opinion, Taylor did OK for a limited left-back still making his way back from a career-threatening injury. Particularly as he had little support from Quinn after the first 20-25 mins.

No I dont like him at all to be honest. I dont rate him. You're entited to you opinion naturally, but he wouldn't be in my team at all for tomorrow. I've gone with Williams or even Hill if he's fit. I think both would be a better combination with Flynn/Quinn. I've said my bit about Quinny so i'm not going back over that.

Fair enough. To be honest I'd grudgingly go with either Williams or Hill but I don't think either is fit. It's a bit disappointing that we have 4 left backs at the club and the only half decent one is out for a year!

Will Tonne be available for the playoffs, supposing the miracle doesn't happen?

Personally I think I'd prefer him up front with Cresswell than any of the current crock crop.

I don't think Collins will play tomorrow. Ertl instead doesn't fill me with confidence. Who else could cover?

Cant have 6 subs

whats up with collins anyroad?

Got a knock at the end of the last game. Looked like he was in a lot of pain. I just think if it's at all iffy then he won't be risked so that he's a better chance of being available for the play offs.

Playoffs? Is he signing for Wednesday after tomorrow then? :)

Hill for Ertl on the bench; otherwise a perfect prediction.

Can I have your lottery numbers please?
