Nearly aquarter of the way in… what you think?

He’s picking up on your own words “iIf we continue in the same vein”. If that occurs we average 2.3 points per game and we win the league at a canter. That’s a reality.
The likely reality is we’re unlikely to continue in the same vein but it was you who set that standard. I’d personally settle for 2 points per game, so a slight decline on our current form but I also consider that unlikely too, but you never know.
At 2 points a game (realistic target) that would finish the season on 95 points - definite automatic promotion.

Champions you would think based on historical points totals. It would be unheard of to get 95 points and not take the title.
However, I don’t think it’s likely but it’s nice to have targets.

We’re not technically at the quarter mark, but we’re 10 games in so I thought I would throw it open toopinion at this stage, the half way stage and the three quarter stage…just to see how opinions differ really.

I know it’s going to be difficult after a cracking start to the season, but if you didn’t have to pick one who would it be?? Feel free to put a close second next to it…

Sooo…..

Who is your player of the season so far?

Who is the biggest improver of the season so far?

Who is the best acquisition of the summer so far?

Who is the flop of the season so far?

Have you noticed any potential areas for further recruitment in January? If so, where?

Where do you see us sitting at the half way point of the season and on what points total?

Who will be our leading goal scorer this season?

Answer some, all or none… comepletely optional and more for reference really to see how opinions differ later in the season.
Exactly... 😂

I think we need to figure out this injuries issue asap!
We cant continue with the amount of injuries we seem to keep getting.
Do we have to ice baths that help with rehab??, I know we had the ice showers not so long back, but not sure they offer the same effect!??

Can we just cancel the January transfer window.
That for me is the biggest threat to our promotion chances.

It’s not as simple as that.

We will only sell Berge or N’Diaye if we receive a stupidly high offer and only if we have a decent replacement lined up,

Arguably this would be classed as decent business hence I’ve no real worries

Both are still under contract so we only sell if it benefits us. If we still in the top 2 don’t think we’ll sell unless we receive 30 million, which can’t see it happening.

Ndiaye
Mcburnie
Anel
No Flop, Mcatee hasn’t had enough game time to be called a flop
Depends how long Clark and Robinson are out far, and whether Bogle and Fleck come back fit.
Top 47 points
Ndiaye 18 goals

Could also loose Egan and Anel.
We could possibly loose 4 players yes we might receive a load of the cash but to replace them with players that can hit the ground running would be a an almost impossible task.

Not worried about Egan, the whole Leeds thing was just internet BS.

Hecky said they hadn't even had 1 phone call or enquiry about Egan last window.

Signings are bang on. Exciting and athletic and Hecky has assembled a younger more intense squad.

Still need to be braver away from home, but that’s improved.

Injuries are a concern, but the squad depth is amazing.

Now reached 10 games. Team should now be at the required match/physical fitness levels. Right time to now to rotate, bring other players into the fold and increase our consistency.

Who is your player of the season so far?
NDiaye (although Norwood, Wes, Berge and Anel are close seconds)

Who is the biggest improver of the season so far?
McBurnie - so proud of him, RND close 2nd

Who is the best acquisition of the summer so far?
Anel

Who is the flop of the season so far?
McAtee if i was to pick anyone but way too early to call

Have you noticed any potential areas for further recruitment in January? If so, where?
LCB and a midfield shithouse

Where do you see us sitting at the half way point of the season and on what points total?
We’ll be 2nd after injuries catch up, but end up champions

Who will be our leading goal scorer this season?
Ndiaye after McB injury, but goals will be evenly spread among the front 5

I almost put in brackets that I didn't want to pick anyone but did just to give an actual answer 🙂

Fwiw in my personal opinion i think he's a season or 2 from being ready for mens soccer. My advice to City if i was Hecky is don't worry about over coaching his football as he has ability in abundance.

Just get him hitting the gym and building up that upper body strength and focusing on that 100%

I actually think the core body strength of our team has been very underrated. players like Ndiaye, RND, even Mcburnie have come back alot visibly stronger this season and is a pretty huge factor in our success so far.

Get Mcatee up to those same levels and the worlds at his feet.
I answered the same. He’s not a flop, which is extremely harsh. However, he hasnt made an immediate impact and unfortunately for him that means not getting into the squad, it’s a very testing and tough time for him trying to get in over Berge and Ndiaye who are in excellent form, but then also getting in over his sub rival Khadra who’s just scored.

Put it this way, I think that at the halfway point of the season we’ll be earmarking McAtee as biggest improver

Ndiaye

RND

Anel

Brewster

The list of areas to strengthen keeps getting shorter, but maybe CF

Top, on 55 points

Ndiaye on

Fair shout on Khadra mate, we need to see a bit more of him, but maybe that’s the cover

Mcatee is an interesting one, he has the skill, looks a bit lightweight to me, bit like Ndaiye this time last year (who appears to have bulked up and is harder to knock off the ball now for it)

To be fair I think we’ve got a great squad, as long as we don’t loose anyone JTW maybe spend the time & money looking for long term permanent replacements for Fleck & Norwood.
Good luck finding the younger long term replacement for Norwood with 50 quid
